After the events that transpired in the CM Punk–Drew McIntyre match at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins was ready to fight The Second City Saint. On the latest episode of Raw, Rollins and Punk were close to exchanging blows before McIntyre distracted the latter. After Punk fled in pursuit of his rival, Bronson Reed launched a sneak attack on The Visionary.
The former NXT North American Champion landed heavy blows before Rollins fought back. However, Reed neutralized The Architect with ease. The Aussie wrestler hit him with a couple of body drops and landed a Tsunami. After the Baltimore crowd went ballistic and chanted for one more, Reed obliged and delivered the devastating move twice.
This brought out the medical staff and backstage officials, who tried to escort the 35-year-old star out of the ring. Reed didn’t heed the orders laid out and went to the top rope once again, hitting a third Tsunami. The onslaught continued as the Monster hit the maneuver three more times. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins lay in the ring, helpless, coughing out blood.
Bronson Reed attempted one more Tsunami before the officials and personnel slid the former Shield member out of the ring. Needless to say, the 330-pounder made a bold statement with this brutal attack on Rollins. Having said that, it is only a matter of time before these two clash inside the squared circle.
Will Seth Rollins miss the upcoming weeks of television?
After the enthralling segment, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce provided an update on Seth Rollins. Pearce revealed that Rollins may’ve suffered some internal bleeding. By the looks of it, The Architect might miss the upcoming weeks on Monday Night Raw.
Since his in-ring return at Money in the Bank, Rollins has yet to compete again inside the ring. Therefore, there is skepticism as to whether he is fully fit to compete. At SummerSlam, the former World Heavyweight Champion was heavily involved in the CM Punk-Drew McIntyre bout. In fact, he turned out to be the deciding factor.
Rollins wore the same bracelet McIntyre had stolen from Punk, which ticked off the latter. After a back-and-forth argument, The Second City Saint hit the GTS on The Visionary. This allowed The Scottish Warrior to capitalize and pick up a win over his rival.
