Ryan Garcia is currently in hot waters after he tested positive in a drug test. It was conducted for the Devin Haney fight, and his urine samples were collected on April 19 and 20. As such, the test results came out several days after the fight, and Garcia’s victory has come under question. The young boxer has denied these allegations and stated that he would do anything to prove his innocence. Subsequently, amidst all of this, the head of the New York State Association of Counties has resigned.

Garcia’s test results show that his system had a banned substance known as Ostarine. It is a steroid that is used by athletes to lose fat and gain muscle in a short period of time. However, the test result has been investigated by the NYSAC, and KingRy is set to provide a B sample. Furthermore, the head of the NYAC, Kim Sumbler, has resigned during all of this, which has caused Garcia to question this.

In Sumbler’s statement, she mentioned that she was resigning for personal reasons. However, Garcia and several members of the boxing community believe that this is not the case. Furthermore, KingRy’s has even stated that he is prepared to spend all his money to prove his innocence.

Garcia has also claimed that people are conspiring against him to take away his victory and keep Haney undefeated. He recently also exposed Haney’s connection to Victor Conte, who was a founding member of VADA.

Ryan Garcia’s drug test show inconsistencies

Garcia’s controversial drug test has now shown inconsistent details in its reports. It was revealed that he tested positive for Ostarine and Nandrolone Metabolite. However, he has now been cleared for the second banned substance. Subsequently, Eddie Hearn revealed that Haney is still seeking to disqualify him.

Furthermore, Nandrolone was found in Ryan Garcia’s system on two of his previous drug tests, which were conducted on April 19 and 20. However, the third test seemed to prove otherwise. This has now brought into question the legitimacy of his testing positive for Ostarine which will be cleared with a B sample. In addition, Hearn has responded to this by dismissing the notion of it being an inside job.

Hence, since Garcia has not been cleared on the matter of the banned substance Ostarine, Eddie Hearn and Haney believe he should still be disqualified. Furthermore, if this were to happen, Haney would remain undefeated since the fight would become a no-contest.
