UEFA Europa League: Sevilla vs Dinamo Zagreb Player Ratings as Sevilla beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-1

Sevilla vs Dinamo Zagreb: Sevilla hosted Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the 1st Leg of the Round of 32 of the Europa League.

First half was filled with action as Sevilla were awarded a penalty in the 13th minute which was converted by Rakitic. Orsic equalized for Zagreb before two late goals in the first half by Ocampos and Martial put Sevilla in a commanding position.

Second half lacked goals but the intensity was right up there. Zagreb could not find the back of the net and Sevilla defended well keeping the score line same as first half.

Marcos Acuna (7.7/10): Acuna went about his business as usual and did not leave any attack unattended on his flank.

Alejandro Gomez (8.2/10): Gomez created the most number of chances in the match. He assisted Martial’s first half goal.

Fernando (6.8/10): The central midfielder had a decent game but was not at his best. He was replaced by Torres in the second half.

Ivan Rakitic (7.9/10): Rakitic opened Sevilla’s scoring by converting a penalty. He distributed the ball well and was among the attack in the final third.

Lucas Ocampos (8.2/10): Ocampos scored a late goal in the first half giving Sevilla a lead. His attacks from the right flank were potent and threatening.

Munir El Haddadi (7.2/10): The left wing didn’t have a lot of the ball but looked like he could create a chance when he had the ball at his feet.

Anthony Martial (8.1/10): The striker doubled Sevilla’s lead in first half’s stoppage time. He completed the most number of dribbles in the match- 5.

Nemanja Gudelj (6.2/10): Gudelj replaced injured Rekik and was decent at his position.

Thomas Delaney (6.8/10): Delaney came off the bench and instantly looked imposing, taking control of the midfield.

Oliver Torres (6.4/10): Torres came in for Fernando and was decent in the midfield.

Youssef En-Nesyri (6.4/10): The striker held the ball and drew fouls as Sevilla were looking to run the clock down.

Dominik Livakovic (5.2/10): Livakovic committed a foul leading to a penalty in the first half which was converted and conceded 2 more goals later.

Kevin Theophile-Catherine (6/10): The centre back had a decent outing, but made a couple of errors which luckily didn’t end up in the back of their net.

Josip Sutalo (7.2/10): Sutalo made crucial blocks in the box and defended calmly in 1v1 situations.

Bartol Franjic (6.7/10): Franjic was in good defensive positions and made crucial clearance headers.

Stefan Ristovski (7.5/10): Ristovski had an assist to his name and created chances from the right flank.

Amer Gojak (7/10): Gojak was one player who had the most number of touches in the Zagreb team but it could not materialize to a goal.

Arijan Ademi (5,7/10): Ademi did not impose any presence in the midfield and had a forgetful game.
