Sevilla vs West Ham: Sevilla squared off against West Ham at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the ongoing edition of the Europa League.

Sevilla won and sealed a crucial 1-0 win in the home leg. A really end to end game in which chances were there for both teams. However, it was Munir who only started because Rakitic pulled up in the warm up, scored the winner of the night. 

Perfectly set up for an exciting second-leg at the London Stadium.

Bono (8/10): Solid with his shot-stopping. Solid with his distribution.

Navas (9/10): One of the prime candidates for man of the match. Navas showed he’s still got a lot left in the tank.

Gudelj (7/10): Got turned over by Antonio a couple times. Overall,  decent.

Kounde (8/10): The better of the two centre-backs for Sevilla.

Acuna (8/10): Solid defensively. Perfectly executed the freekick routine which led to a goal.

Jordan (7/10): Jordan was the calming influence in the team. Got caught on some occasions.

Munir (9/10): Munir was an unexpected starter in the team as Rakitic pulled out late. Took his opportunity by scoring a goal.

Oliver (8/10): He was the better player  going forward of the double pivot for Sevilla. Played some nice through balls.

Corona (7/10): Not great in the first-half. Better second-half 

En-Nesyri (8/10): Created some good openings for himself in the second-half. Commendable work rate.

Ocampos (8/10): Was unlucky to end his night without a goal. A real goal threat.

Martial (5/10): Standard five for Martial. Didn’t make much of an impact coming on.

West Ham

Areola (7/10): Made some really important saves. Was unlucky with the goal conceded.

Ben Johnson (6/10): Started really good, especially going forward. Dropped off in the second-half.

Dawson (6/10): Dawson’s poor run of form continues. Allowed Sevilla some dangerous shots.

Zouma (7/10): Not his best game for West Ham. Still a dominating presence.

Cresswell (5/10): Standard five for Cresswell. Didn’t threaten going forward, decent defensively.

Soucek (7/10): Got himself involved in the buildup quite a few times. Slowly regaining form.

Declan Rice (4/10): A really poor game by his standards. Lost his head at the end. 

Lanzini (6/10): Had the glorious opportunity to bring West Ham level. Was blocked by Navas.

Pablo Fornals (6/10): Was easily finding spaces early. Sevilla quickly addressed that issue. 

Antonio (6/10): The goalless run continues for Antonio. Unnecessarily drifted wide many times.

Vlasic (5/10): Picked up really good positions. However, struggled to link with Antonio.

Benrahma (7/10): Came on with a real attacking intent. Should start in the home leg.
