Popular rapper, Sexyy Red recently made her second appearance for WWE and NXT on June 9th at the NXT Battleground PLE. While her appearance at the show was a huge success, recent reports have revealed that the 26-year-old went through a lot of trouble on her way to Las Vegas, the city where the show was held.

TMZ reported that Sexyy Red was recently arrested at the Newark International Airport. This arrest in New Jersey took place the day before the NXT show. CCTV footage of the airport showed several people getting into a brawl. The rapper appeared a few seconds later, wielding a stanchion in her hands.

Although she did not hit anybody with the metal object, she did charge towards others and threatened to hit them with it. She is then shoved out of the way and falls to the ground. She was let relatively easily after her arrest. This was because she did not throw any punches and was not involved in any major physical contact. Meanwhile, others were charged with more serious charges of assault.

Red exits the frame after someone shoves her but appears once again before the video ends. She walked away as the police arrested a man for his involvement in the assault. Despite these setbacks, the rapper made it to Las Vegas to play as the host of NXT Battleground.

Will Sexyy Red appear in WWE programming in the future?

Many fans enjoyed the appearance of the mainstream celebrity on WWE programming over the past two weeks. Apart from fans, wrestlers like Trick Williams also greatly appreciated Red for her role in WWE. She also celebrated alongside the NXT Champion after his victory over Ethan Page at NXT Battleground.

Although she had several hilarious moments at the Premium Live Event, the latest episode of NXT barely showed Red in the NXT Battleground recap. Fans wondered if WWE blacklisted her after her controversial stunts.

According to a report by Fightful, this is not the case. WWE and NXT do not plan to prevent her from appearing in future programming. However, the arrest was still a huge surprise to WWE officials. They were not aware of the arrest until the PLE had already ended.
