Bangladesh Cricket Team arrived in India on the back of winning the two-match Test series comprehensively Pakistan. However, the team suffered a crushing defeat in the first Test match against India in Chennai. Bangladesh’s veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has reflected on the win of his team in Pakistan and then their loss in the first Test against India.
He feels that his team has had more experience than the young Pakistani team that they played against, which is a massive factor in Test cricket. However, he reflected on India’s dominance in Test cricket and especially at their home ground where they don’t lose Test matches often. Hasan called them unbeatable at home besides playing very well in overseas conditions.
They are doing well outside as well, but at home, they are unbeatable. Any country finds India difficult, and we are no different. Having said that, we have to play really well to show the fight we feel we can put up. I think India is the toughest tour these days. Other teams may lose one or two games, but we hardly see India losing Tests.
Shakib Al Hasan said in an interview with Cricbuzz
India have not lost a Test series at home since the last defeat that they suffered against England. They have always been incredibly dominant at their home ground and now have started winning Test matches and series away from home as well. They have won 13 of the 18 Test matches that they have played at home since the COVID-19 and have lost only three of them.
Team India beat Bangladesh by 280 runs in first Test in Chennai
India emerged as winners in the first Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai as they beat the tigers by a margin of 280 runs. India’s veteran off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin emerged as the Man of the Match as he smashed a century in the first innings when India were in trouble. Ashwin then picked up 10 wickets to crumble the Bangladeshi batting lineup.

Meanwhile, both teams arrived in Kanpur for the Day 1 of the second Test match at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on September 27. However, there had to be early stumps due to incessant rain as just 35 overs were bowled in the innings.
India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, won the toss and elected to field first on a damp and gloomy morning. When the play was stopped post the lunch break, Bangladesh were at 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
