Carlos Alcaraz is eyeing his second ATP 1000 Masters title in Shanghai and has made it to the fourth round to meet former World No. 6 Gael Monfils. En route to reaching the Round of 16, the Spaniard knocked out two Chinese players in straight sets.
Before Shanghai, Alcaraz played in the China Open and beat Jannik Sinner in three sets to lift his first trophy in Beijing. Monfils’ run in Beijing however, was restricted by Daniil Medvedev in his opening round itself.
