“Let’s not overdo it” – Shannon Sharpe flaunting Noah Lyles winning gold against Kishane Thompson by the barest of margins at Paris Olympics doesn’t sit well with fans
Former NFL tight end ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe called out the Jamaicans for disrespecting the Americans before Noah Lyles' victory in Paris Olympics.

In the aftermath of Noah Lyles edging out Kishane Thompson in the men’s 100-meter race at the Paris Olympics, Shannon Sharpe called out the ‘brash talking’ Jamaicans on social media. According to the Hall of Fame tight end, Lyles shut them up completely.
On Sunday, August 5, USA sprinter Noah Lyles was declared the winner of the 100-meter race even though he and Kishane Thompson both finished in 9.79 seconds. After carefully going through the video footage, the judges’ panel decided Lyles won the bout by five one thousandth of a second.
As soon as the race ended in Paris, Shannon Sharpe took to X and posted a fiery tweet aimed at Jamaicans, who, as per ESPN’s First Take contributor, talked a lot of smack when Thompson clocked 9.77 seconds back in this local Jamaican circuit.
Where’s all that brash talking you Jamaicans were doing. When Thompson laid dwn that 9.77 even got the prime minister involved. Told you we had something 4 y’all. I get the women were hurt, but Noah smoked Kishane and made Seville tap out.Shannon Sharpe wrote

Social media reactions to Shannon Sharpe’s outburst after Noah Lyles win in Paris Olympics
Smoked is a bit of an overstatement, as Lyles lodged 9.784 seconds while Thompson had 9.789 seconds. Regardless, Sharpe did not back down despite the criticism of his post; rather, he continued the barrage of words.
That title is bestowed 2 the man/woman that wins 100 meters in O or world championships. Bolt is the gr8 est sprinter ever, but we’re not changing rules cause your guy got beat. USA USA USA.Shannon Sharpe further wrote

Lyles may have won the race, but as Sharpe mentioned, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt remains the fastest man alive. Bolt edged his name into history after clocking 9.58 seconds at the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin.
I'm not Jamaican, but let's not overdo it. I would hardly call that "smoked." He looked like he wasn't even going to medal for 99.9 percent of the race. He should thank God for a long torso.

Shannon Sharpe called out the Jamaicans on his podcast
The night wasn’t over the former Denver Broncos stalwart. He promised to continue making his voice heard in his podcast Nightcap with co-host Chad Johnson.
Ya’ll had a lot to say. What you all taking on my timeline? Just be respectful. If you come for me and I didn’t send for you, I am gonna send your as* away unhappy. When you all are taking pot shots when you all going all low, I am gonna go to the basement. If you are going lower than that, I am going to hell.Shannon Sharpe said
Sharpe had a bone to pick with the Jamaicans ever since Thompson’s remarkable finish at home. They declared the heir to Bolt had arrived, and even Prime Minister Andrew Holness got involved.
Smoking on that new Jamaican pack ? @ShannonSharpe @ochocinco @ShayShayMedia_ pic.twitter.com/NHhLCatc1b

As per US Sun, the 56-year-old Sharpe threw a challenge to Holness last month on First Take. He confidently backed Lyles to win the race and claimed he would personally come and deliver the gold to Jamaica if it was the other way around.
