Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum’s journey from romance to break up has gone from being celebrity couple goals to downright comical in the last month. Even Shannon Sharpe who never officially dated anyone chimed in with his take on the entire fiasco.

During the latest episode of Sharpe’s Nightcap podcast with Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson, the Hall of Famer turned ESPN analyst watched a music video titled ‘Who Knew (Her Perspective)’ which Waller recorded after his split with Plum.

Sharpe could only laugh after gorging through the entire clip. He said that both Plum and Waller are competitive and don’t like to be wrong.

Why did Darren Waller and Kelsey Plum decide to split?

There’s yet to be a concrete reason for the sudden ending of their relationship but a post from Plum hinted that Waller may have cheated on her.

Plum shared a cryptic post on X claiming to be devastated and had ‘walked through fire for that man’ to make the relationship work.

I’m devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go. God has given me such an incredible life, and I’m truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends. One day, I’ll share my story; today is not that day.

Plum wrote.

She wants to focus on her WNBA career with the Los Vegas Aces. In the meantime, the New York Giants are still unsure whether Waller will remain with the team in 2024.

The 31-year-old had to deal with several injuries since the start of last season when he was still a Las Vegas Raiders player. He appeared in 12 games during his first year with the Giants, recording 52 catches for 552 yards and just 1 touchdown a far cry from his 2020 best of 117 receptions for 1196 yards and 9 touchdowns with the Raiders.
