Shannon Sharpe can’t catch a break. Amidst his ongoing lawsuit tussle with Gabriella Zuniga, now his ex-girlfriend, Michele Bundy Evans, has brought forward s**ual harassment allegations against Sharpe.

Bundy Evans, in an exclusive interview with The US Sun in April 2025, spoke about her traumatic experience with Sharpe. The pair first crossed paths back in 2002 when she was a local sports reporter in Denver, and Sharpe was already a household name with the Denver Broncos.

According to Bundy Evans, they met in the Broncos’ press room. But they didn’t “start dating until they met at the club Blue 67 in Denver.

They hit it off, and Sharpe was smitten with her. He really wanted to have her. She resisted him for a while but eventually agreed to date him because “he’s very charming.”

They dated for nearly eight years. However, there was a shift in their relationship around 2010. She dated another man who later became her husband while seeing Sharpe.

It was vice versa. Sharpe also went out with other women. Evans was cool with it, considering the open nature of their relationship, but at one point, she could no longer accept the emotional manipulation.

We had an argument about the fact that he had removed one girl from his [Atlanta] house and put another girl in his house, and he didn’t tell me.

Budy Evans said

She confronted him, pressing for an answer, but in return, she recalled being taken advantage of without consent.

Shannon Sharpe denied the allegation brought against him

In September 2010, Evans recalled having the biggest argument of her life. The events that followed left a traumatic effect on her.

Sharpe allegedly retaliated and forced her to have unnatural intercourse.

Shannon’s coercion escalated as he maneuvered me onto the bed and achieved non-consensual vaginal penetration, all the while proclaiming his intent to ‘Make it so no other man would want me.’ I was bereft of understanding as to his meaning, yet acutely aware that my voiced dissent had been wantonly disregarded.

Michele Bundy Evans said as per Hollywood Live

The assault did not end—only the nature and manner of the assault switched from physical to threats. Sharpe was a three-time Super Bowl winner and regularly showed up on TV as an analyst on CBS.

She felt threatened and decided to seek judicial relief, filing a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court.

However, Sharpe’s representative denied all the allegations. They claimed that the accusations brought against his client were ‘ridiculous and completely without merit,’ pointing out that Evans failed to land an attorney, as the case was very weak.

Shannon has had no contact with her for many years, and we understand that she is still on probation after serving three years in prison.

Shannon Sharpe’s rep said

Sharpe has opted to stay mum on the matter because he’s knee-deep in another lawsuit involving a different woman. OnlyFans model Gabriella Zuniga filed a $50 million lawsuit recently. The 20-year-old accused him of emotional, verbal, and physical abuse.

A woman can say ‘yes’ to consensual s**ual relations with a man ninety-nine times, but when she says ‘no’ even once, that ‘no’ means no. Defendant Shannon Sharpe, a man who is accustomed to getting what he wants, completely fails to understand this basic concept. After many months of manipulating and controlling Plaintiff—a woman more than thirty years younger than he—and repeatedly threatening to brutally choke and violently slap her, Sharpe refused to accept the answer no and r***d Plaintiff, despite her sobbing and repeated screams of ‘no’.

the lawsuit documents read

Sharpe once more denied all the allegations against him. In his defense, he accused Zuniga’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, of racism.

The lawsuit remains a very sensitive matter for the Hall of Famer. He stepped away from his ESPN job to deal with it.
