Both were in tandem today as Shaquille O’Neal almost fell off his chair after prodding his colleague to troll the New Orleans Pelicans for their playoff disaster.

The Oklahoma City Thunder destroyed the Pelicans in Game 3 of their round 1 playoff series. Naturally, after this, the fellas on ‘Inside the NBA’ were going to bring out all the negatives. However, Shaquille O’Neal asked Charles Barkley where the Pelicans would be going from the playoffs. He said;

Galveston. That dirty a** water. We're not even going to send them to Cancun. We're gonna send them to Galveston, with that dirty a** water be washing on the shore, you people think they in the beach. Ya'll quit. Drive you're a** down to Galveston. C'mon they didn't even try man.
Charles Barkley said

The reference to Galveston was to suggest that the New Orleans Pelicans did not deserve any place better for a vacation. As Barkley felt, they did not even try to win the game.

The New Orleans Pelicans lost the game by 21 points. This is after losing by 32 in Game 2. None of the Pelicans players could even cross the 20-point mark. It seems the Hall of Famer saw the trend and concluded that the Pelicans just did not show the will to fight.

Even though Zion Williamson is out injured, it does not mean the team are devoid of quality players. Therefore, Barkley and O’Neal’s lack of interest or passion to win was probably evident.

After trolling the Pelicans, Charles Barkley talked about how the Oklahoma City Thunder are playing. He mentioned that a team doing interviews together shows how closely knit they are. That chemistry has helped them play off each other, eventually making them the top seed in the West.

Their success in the playoffs is also a result of that camaraderie. Barkley said that they are a well-coached team with a common goal, which is crucial to take on tough teams in the playoffs. Most importantly, he was full of praise for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for being the leader, but not showing the egoistic side of it to his teammates.

Therefore, this talks about the stark difference between the two teams. One is ‘galvanized’ and the other is disinterested. Charles Barkley will praise those who he thinks are doing their jobs well. But he will not spare to roast those who show a lack of spirit.
