NBA great Shaquille O’Neal has been making the headlines recently for his recent comments regarding the Chicago Bulls on the Big Podcast. Notably, the Big Podcast is partnered with the betting side, “Draft Kings” and O’Neal was eager to know how the bets worked as he was having a conversation with the host, Adam Lefkoe.

Interestingly, O’Neal asked Lefkoe how much he would earn if he placed a $1 million bet on the Chicago Bulls for winning the NBA title in the upcoming 2024-25 season. To O’Neal’s surprise, Lefkoe asserted that O’Neal would easily bag $100 million in winnings. O’Neal quickly accepted Lefkoe’s response and was ready to place a $1 million bet on the Bulls but was advised not to by Lefkoe.

On the Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal said

Lefkoe responded, “A 100 million dollars.”

It’s important to note that, the Chicago Bulls might have the highest odds in the betting sector due to their side not being looked at as contenders to win the NBA title. O’Neal would well and truly earn a fortune if the Bulls somehow managed to win the NBA title. It remains to be seen what happens next with O’Neal and his bet on the Bulls.

If it had been permissible to assemble a superteam during his NBA career, Shaquille O’Neal claims he would have joined the Chicago Bulls and played alongside Michael Jordan. Notably, O’Neal discussed how the league has changed since his time in it on an edition of The Big Podcast, claiming a lot of players would have “switched up.” 

If we knew that was acceptable, probably a lot of us would have switched up, If I knew that was acceptable I would have just went to Chicago. If I knew that was acceptable, I would have went and played with the Spurs. If I knew that was okay I would have went and played with a team that was almost there, like Utah.

On the contrary, Jordan was one of the deadliest players in the NBA back then along with O’Neal. The two teaming up on the same team would have completely caused carnage in the league, winning every year as long as they played together. However, this was not possible back then due to the rules and regulations imposed by the NBA.
