Stephen Curry gets a ton of support from his Warriors squad since Shaq's shoutout

Recently, Shaquille O’Neal demanded that NBA fans start bringing up his favorite player, Stephen Curry, in the GOAT conversation. This bid by the Big Diesel himself is actually getting some serious consideration from other iconic athletic personalities like him. Since his remarks, numerous others are rallying behind the notion, mostly his old squad.

First, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr appeared on 95.7 The Game’s Willard & Dibs. Kerr reiterated Shaq’s sentiment and said that he is glad the Big Fella brought it up first. The 59-year-old, who has always held a high opinion of his franchise player, went a step further this time and proclaimed that no one is even close.

I think he is dead on because Steph is the most unique superstar of all time. He broke barriers, he changed the game… I love that Shaq is bringing that up because from the standpoint, it’s not even close he is the greatest ever.

Steve Kerr remarked

And then, sure enough, Draymond Green chimed in on the topic on the latest installment of his podcast, The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis. Green stated that the whole modern era of basketball is modeled and designed after one guy—Chef Curry.

Draymond Green on Stephen Curry’s impact on basketball

Just three years ago, Curry made another push for his fourth NBA title, solidifying GSW as a dynasty and himself as its core. As of now, this season, the Warriors are one of the hottest teams since Jimmy Butler‘s acquisition. Currently, they are the sixth seed in the West. After starting the season on a high note, they fell off a bit, but now they look better than ever.

Shaquille O’Neal advocates for Stephen Curry in the GOAT conversation.

When Stephen Curry was spearheading his team to victory against the Knicks in MSG, Shaq and the rest of the TNT crew were covering the game. Shaq Daddy was highly impressed with Curry’s performance and finally compared the four-time NBA champion to the greatest to ever play the game of basketball.

I played with LeBron (James), with Kobe (Bryant), against MJ (Michael Jordan). Start putting Stephen Curry in the G.O.A.T. conversation.

Shaquille O’Neal said on TNT

Well, the all-time leader in three-pointers made by a mile, a four-time NBA champ, one-time NBA Finals MVP, and two-time MVP has certainly shaped enough of today’s NBA that his impact is undeniable. His stats and shooting percentage speak for themselves. Under pressure, the baby-faced assassin is even more clutch. Last week, he scored a season-high 56 points, sinking 12 daggers from deep. At age 36, he continues to be one of the NBA’s elites.
