“You can have the Superman belt” – Shaquille O’Neal lays down condition for boxing match after Dwight Howard call out
Former NBA greats Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard continued their beef following the recent clash between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard
Over the last week, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was in attendance for the most coveted boxing matchup between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Interestingly, after watching the matchup, O’Neal came up with an idea that he put forward to a Netflix reporter.
The idea was that retired players from different sports come together to play once again. However, it was just an idea pitched by O’Neal who was alongside his dear friend and NFL legend, Rob Gronkowski. Only time will be able to determine whether it will actually occur or not.
But if it inspires him, O’Neal enjoys forging new paths. However, his former rival Dwight Howard chimed in on this as he took to social to call out O’Neal for a boxing match. Now, O’Neal has a cheeky response to Howard’s statement.
Gotta have more than one ring to get in the ring with me, I’ll stick with a real champion like @RobGronkowski, and you can have the Superman belt, all yours buddy,

O’Neal added salt to Howard’s wounds. Because the former Lakers star has won only 1 NBA title during the 2019-20 season. As for O’Neal, he won multiple NBA titles as well as NBA MVP Awards in his illustrious career.
O’Neal and Howard share a vast history, as both stars don’t get along with each other for years in the NBA. Aside from this, Gronkowski and O’Neal’s recent idea would be appealing to sports fans worldwide.
However, the most important aspect is to turn this idea into reality. They are both overly ambitious and would likely pitch this plan to future investors. It remains to be seen how this situation ends up going forward.
Dwight Howard once made a HUGE revelation regarding Shaquille O’Neal
The “Superman” nickname, which Shaquille O’Neal feels is legitimately his, has been the main focus of Dwight Howard and O’Neal’s long-standing enmity. The two have always been at odds. Especially, when Howard spoke about some extremely private and “disrespectful” comments that O’Neal had given him in private on his show “Above the Rim with DH 12.”
Despite the hatred, Howard has often expressed his desire to put an end to his feud with O’Neal. He reaffirmed on the podcast that he didn’t harbor any animosity toward Shaq and that he would rather work out their issues. But O’Neal’s private texts, which Howard called “disrespectful,” imply that he isn’t as eager to put the past behind him.
