Shaquille O'Neal reacted to ex-wife Shaunie's heartbreaking statement.

Shaquille O’Neal has been a fan-favorite player in the NBA for the longest time. The legendary center’s dominating talent and wholesome personality are the few reasons fans admire the star. Hence, fans were shocked when the star’s ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson revealed that she never loved her husband in their nine years of marriage.

Shaunie Henderson recently wrote a book called “Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms”. Henderson, years after getting divorced from Shaquille O’Neal, revealed having doubts about being in love with her ex-husband.

As Shaq did not react to the news immediately, the star took to his Instagram to post a heartbreaking reaction to Shaunie’s statement.

Fans were gutted by Shaq’s post as O’Neal and Henderson share five children. Many came in support in the comment section for the Los Angeles Lakers legend including his son Shareef O’Neal. Shaq’s son called him the ‘most lovable and likable person on the planet’.

Henderson revealed that her marriage with O’Neal started crumbling after a few years of getting married. The Lakers star was at the peak of his career at the time and overlooked his marriage and kids. This led the ‘basketball wives’ star to question their relationship.

Shaunie Henderson is not blaming Shaq O’Neal for their failed marriage

Despite her claims of not loving O’Neal, Shaunie does not want Shaq to take the blame for their divorce. The couple was rumored to have infidelity issues which led to their separation but Shaunie revealed that O’Neal “did the best he could.”

Henderson admitted that the ex-couple are now coexisting peacefully but did not do things they should have for their marriage.

Henderson remarried in 2022 and Shaq has also dated other women after their marriage. The couple now co-parent their children as Shaq spends most of his time on TNT analyzing the NBA.
