Shaquille O’Neal reacts to Indiana high schooler doing something that no NBA player has ever done
Shaquille O'Neal gave his co-sign to Washington High School star Kira Reynolds following her historic quintuple-double performance.

Shaquille O'Neal
One thing Shaquille O’Neal never fails to do is spotlight some of the incredible upcoming stars of the next generation. O’Neal has already shown his fandom for upcoming stars such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Victor Wembanyama, although he is still often perceived as a hater. Even so, Shaq’s latest endorsement of a young star is truly mind-boggling, given the stature of the achievements.
Through his Instagram stories, Shaquille O’Neal reposted a major achievement by Kira Reynolds, a young high school basketball star from Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana. Reynolds recorded a rare feat by securing a quintuple-double, i.e., recording double-figure statistics in the five major statistics – points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
In a game against New Prairie High School, Kira Reynolds recorded 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals, and 10 blocks. This is a number that look straight out of a video game. She got the co-sign from Shaq after he reposted a story of her achievement, given that the feat she accomplished has never been done in the NBA, College Basketball or most professional basketball leagues.

Although fans have seen some unicorn players like Victor Wembanyama record the much vaunted 5×5 statline, i.e., recording 5 or more points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, a quintuple-double is unventured territory for NBA stars. Wembanyama himself has been closely monitored as one of the most hyped players in history, attracting attention in everything from scouting reports to NBA betting lines, given his unprecedented potential.
The 6’4″ Reynolds, meanwhile, is all set to join the Purdue Boilermakers this year following the end of her high school journey. Fans and analysts alike are now keeping an eye on her development, speculating on whether her skills will translate to the next level and beyond.
Shaquille O’Neal hilariously teamed up with 7’9″ freshman monster
Throughout his career, there was rarely a time when the 7’1″ Shaquille O’Neal was ever outsized on the court, or off it. Only rarely would an anomaly like Yao Ming show up, who would dwarf even a giant like Shaq. However, the Diesel recently found himself outmatched once again, as he teamed up for a hilarious video with Florida Gator freshman Olivier Rioux.

In the video originally posted to TikTok, Shaq hilariously tried to intimidate someone before turning around to face the 7’9″ towering Canadian freshman Olivier Rioux. The video was a rare instance in which a man like Shaq was outmatched. Nevertheless, the four-time champion would still state he would win the pound-for-pound battle.
While Shaq may be used to towering over nearly everyone he meets, his encounter with Olivier Rioux was a humbling reminder of just how rare these physical anomalies are. Rioux, the 7’9″ freshman for the Gators, has been making waves with his jaw-dropping height and basketball potential. His measurements are unmatched in college basketball, making him the subject of numerous viral moments.
For context, the tallest player ever to step foot on an NBA court was the legendary Manute Bol, standing 7’7″. Rioux not only surpasses Bol’s height but also brings an unusual level of coordination and agility for someone of his stature. Shaq’s video was not just a lighthearted moment but a testament to how players like Rioux might redefine what is possible in basketball. Fans are already speculating about his NBA potential and whether he will one day make his mark in the league.
