Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most kind-hearted personalities off the court. From selling shoes for just $30 to regularly donating to the poor, his kindness has no bounds. O’Neal once made an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’, where he spoke about various topics, including getting $1000 pedicures.

The 2000 NBA MVP disclosed that he spends up to $1,000 on foot care. Even for someone with 22-size feet, pedicures don’t usually cost that much, but O’Neal voluntarily pays more out of remorse, leaving an enormous tip for the staff that takes care of his gigantic feet. Amidst this, he did not forget to troll his long-time friend and NBA Hall of Famer, Charles Barkley.

I feel sorry for the lady that’s doing my feet…I don’t know how much she makes but, my feet looks like Charles Barkley’s face.

Professional basketball can cause deformative disorders like bunions, hammer toes, and flat feet over time. Additionally, more than 20% of all injuries in the NBA are related to the feet or ankles. Notably, O’Neal once also had a toe surgery in 2002. Hence, it makes sense for O’Neal to have pedicures to keep his feet safe and healthy from any particular diseases/ailments.

Congratulations! Wait a minute, is this the Lakers, Cleveland, Miami, Suns or Boston, Kenny [Smith]? Jersey retirement—oh my bad—Orlando Magic.

O’Neal is only the third NBA player, after Wilt Chamberlain and Pete Maravich, to have his jersey retired by three franchises. Los Angeles Lakers retired his No. 34 jersey, the No. 32 was retired by the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic retired his No. 32.
