Shaunie Henderson, the ex-wife of one of the best NBA players, Shaquille O’Neal, shocked the NBA community recently after she released her new book “Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms.”

Henderson claimed that she had doubts regarding whether she loved the NBA star or not. She also came clean about ‘being in denial’ about certain aspects of her life.

I’m not proud of the fact that I spent so many years in denial. It just shows how easy it is to slip into patterns and become comfortable with them, even when they are toxic.”

In regards to her ex-husband, Shaquille O’Neal, Henderson didn’t shy away from writing some direct references.

On the other hand, O’Neal has always been quiet in the media when it involves his family or personal matters. Henderson and O’Neal are parents to four children: daughters Amirah and Me’arah and sons Shareef and Shaqir, who were wedded in December 2002 at the Beverly Hilton hotel during the off-season.

The NBA legend, Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife Shaunie Henderson, has been making the headlines lately after the release of her new book. In addition, she revealed the reason behind her split with O’Neal back in 2011.

Shaunie also claimed that she was living in a toxic environment in the past but did not mention any name in particular. The author of Basketball Wives, in her recently released book, described how she had early warning indications that her marriage to O’Neal was going to fail.

The pair got back together almost a year after O’Neal filed for divorce in Miami in September 2007. Henderson informed the Associated Press at the time that the two were not following through with the divorce process. In 2009, they parted ways once more, and their divorce was finally completed in 2011.
