Since CM Punk returned to WWE, he has had a special place in his heart for NXT. He visited the developmental brand many times, offering advice to the rising stars whenever they needed it. Recently, The Best in the World met Shawn Michaels at the SummerSlam tryouts.
The Heartbreak Kid took to X and shared a picture with a wholesome message. First of all, he thanked CM Punk for joining him at the SummerSlam tryouts. Shawn Michaels referred to him as someone who knows what it takes to be in the position he is in today.
Before Punk made his in-ring comeback at the Royal Rumble, he trained with NXT stars like Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, and Carmelo Hayes. He was one of the final two along with Cody Rhodes, but the latter threw him out to win the Royal Rumble twice in a row. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, The Second City Saint suffered an injury at the hands of Drew McIntyre.

After months of heated confrontations and betrayal, both stars will battle each other at SummerSlam. The announcement of Seth Rollins as the special guest referee heightened the interest in the match between Punk and McIntyre. Drew McIntyre took another shot at CM Punk ahead of their long-awaited match at SummerSlam
Although The Scottish Warrior got his wish to face Punk in the ring at SummerSlam, he still hasn’t forgotten to insult him. This time, he made a unique reference to a popular web series and told Punk what he was going to do. McIntyre sent a final message to The Second City Saint on social media ahead of their match.
The 39-year-old star took to X and shared a video of himself working out. He wrote an interesting message for Punk in the caption, saying he was going to destroy him like the character Billy Butcher from the famous series The Boys. Interestingly, McIntyre still kept his opponent’s bracelet in his hand and even kissed it.

On the latest episode of Raw, McIntyre, Rollins, and Punk were all present in the ring. The Scottish Warrior warned the veteran that he had picked the wrong person to mess with and that he would gladly destroy him at SummerSlam. The former WWE Champion clarified that he didn’t intentionally harm Punk at the Royal Rumble, but Punk made his life difficult afterward. In the end, McIntyre said he wouldn’t stop until his breath did.
