Gunther defeated Randy Orton in the King of the Ring tournament final to become the new King of the Ring. However, the match finished in a really controversial way, catching the attention of his arch-rival Sheamus. The latter voiced his opinion about the match on social media but quickly deleted the post he shared.

At the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Gunther reached the final from the Raw bracket. Meanwhile, Randy Orton RKO’ed his way into the final, representing the blue brand. Although the match between them was nothing short of a classic, it ended in a pretty controversial way. Not only did fans notice, but Sheamus also picked up on something fishy about the finish.

In the closing moments of the match, Randy Orton hit the RKO out of nowhere on Gunther, but the latter was smart enough to kick out and then pin him. Although he won the match, commentators noticed that The Viper’s shoulder was up. The Celtic Warrior took to social media and conveyed his message with a hashtag that read “one shoulder only.”

With this win, The Ring General will challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. However, The Archer of Infamy might not even remain champion. WWE’s CCO, Triple H, announced that he would defend his title against the medically cleared Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in Scotland.
