Sheamus reveals the unimaginably painful process of his return on Raw after contemplating retirement
The veteran superstar made a triumphant comeback to WWE.

Sheamus
Following an 8-month hiatus, Sheamus finally returned to WWE this past Monday on Raw. Not only did he come back, he brought one thing with himself that both The Celtic Warrior and his fans have been clamoring for months: his old theme song. He followed it up by scoring a win over an evenly matched foe in Ivar. After the dust had settled, the 46-year-old took to X.
He unveiled his road to recovery—one that’s been unheralded. Sheamus affirmed how the entire process of getting back in ring shape is slow, rough, and unimaginably painful. Last year, in August, he was taken off WWE programming. Upon further revelations, it came to light that he had been plagued with a severe shoulder injury. In the graphic images he posted on social media, The Celtic Warrior could be seen under meticulous observation.

He got the back of his neck fixed as well. While continuing, the Irish wrestler noted how he thought his time as an in-ring performer had already ended. But the fella thanked his doctors and trainers who helped him get through that phase, which was barely a couple of months ago. Now that he’s healthy all over again, fans could expect the former World Champion to unleash the best version of himself.
It would be Sheamus’ first full-blown run under Triple H‘s creative. And needless to say, there are some high hopes pinned on the WWE CCO to present the Cabra-born wrestler like the machine he is. Sooner or later, The Great White will begin his quest to capture the one title that has eluded him his entire career: the Intercontinental Championship.
Sheamus’ return drew a mixed reaction from the fans
There was some discourse on the internet following Sheamus’ return on Raw. While most of the fans were elated to see him back, some fat-shamed the former League of Nations member. It appears like he’d have a lot of fun beating these overweight allegations in the weeks to come.

Once he regains his mojo, the former Brawling Brutes supremo will be the man to beat on whichever brand he ends up getting drafted for. In the lead-up to his return, the current Raw Superstar teased a rematch against Gunther for the Intercontinental title.
However, with the latter going down to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL, Sheamus might just shift his focus to The Great Liberator, who’s engrossed with Chad Gable. A multi-man feud between these exponents could be the way in the not too distant future.
