Sheamus recently underwent surgery for a neck injury that had been troubling the Irish lass for quite a while. His surgery and subsequent recovery kept him away from in-ring action. However, when the former WWE Champion finally made his return to television, he faced criticism for not being as fit as he was prior to his hiatus.
However, Sheamus promised his fans that he would return to his previous form in no time. Keeping up with his promise, The Great White recently posted a workout montage of himself on X. The former WWE Champion can be seen performing various exercises at his gym as his iconic theme song, “Written in My Face,” plays in the background. The 2012 Royal Rumble winner also used the hashtag #toomanypies as a callback to the body-shaming that he faced.
The Great White finally made his in-ring return on the latest episode of Raw. He returned with his iconic theme song and made quick work of the Viking, Ivar. The King of the Ring winner mentioned that he aimed for a return before the WWE Draft, but this did not allow him enough time to return to in-ring shape.

The Celtic King revealed that he was practically sleeping in the gym. Thus, he would return to his prior form in no time. With the montage video recently uploaded by the 46-year-old, he seems to be on his way to his former physique.
Sheamus almost had to retire due to injury before his in-ring return
In an emotional post on social media, Sheamus posted several photos of his recovery while he was in the hospital. He mentioned how his journey back to the ring was slow, rough, and painful. Merely two months ago, the Celtic Warrior thought that he would be forced to retire due to injuries.
However, his doctors, trainers, and physiotherapists provided the Great White with the support he needed. He added that he was finally able to do what he loved, which was to fight. After a lengthy process, the 46-year-old was finally cleared to return to in-ring action.
While a few fans made fun of his body shape, the majority of the WWE Universe was elated to see The Celtic Warrior back. In addition to that, fans cannot wait to see what lies ahead in Sheamus’ future. Interestingly, his contract is reportedly set to expire by the end of this year.
