Is Shedeur Sanders making amends for throwing the entire Colorado offensive line under the bus last week following the humiliating 28-10 loss? It seems so, as he made a grand gesture in the post-game press conference following the Colorado Buffaloes’ remarkable 28-9 victory in Week 3.

While it’s still up for debate whether this is overcompensation, the Buffaloes’ quarterback, along with star cornerback Travis Hunter, brought the entire O-line to the press conference to commend them for their outstanding performance. Despite the team’s lackluster start, Sanders believes that he and the offense have worked together to bring meaningful changes to the team’s strategies.

That change was well-reflected in Week 2’s game held in Fort Collins as Colorado took the lead IN the very first quarter and held the Colorado State Rams at merely three points till the fourth quarter of the game. Even when the Rams did score a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, the Buffs’ victory was foreseeable.

It was great. It was a change in everything. We all got together and understood that we got to do it. That's when all the family and all the friendship really got together, whoever tries to push each other against each other, flip words, do everything like that.

While indirectly, Sanders also taunted the media for misinterpreting his words from last week’s press conference and claimed that the chemistry and bond the entire team shares wouldn’t be shaken over such things.

The biggest ground over which Sanders blamed the offense last week was not being protected enough and ended up being sacked six times against the Cornhuskers. But in the Week 3 game, he was sacked only once against the Colorado State.

Thanks to the backing by the O-line, Sanders threw for 310 passing yards and four touchdowns. Meanwhile, in the game against Nebraska, he logged 224 yards with barely one touchdown with an interception. This game proved that Sanders and Coach Prime have been right about the need to protect the quarterback.

However, one game cannot entirely define the entire season the Buffs would have but if they continue following this strategy and protecting the senior quarterback Sanders, they might succeed in fulfilling all the promises they made after last season’s poor 4-8 yards.
