Joe Flacco prefers to stay away from the colorful world of TikTok. From his point of view, one of America’s favorite forms of entertainment is a trap.

The 40-year-old is entering his 18th year in the NFL but still hasn’t developed a taste for social media, especially TikTok. Reporters asked Flacco if he ever considered uploading videos to the social media platform after the Browns’ latest training session ended. Flacco strongly replied that he finds it embarrassing.

No TikTok dances. The fact that people want to get on their phones and show people the most [their dances] like, that’s embarrassing. You’re an adult. Be an adult.

Joe Flacco said

Flacco’s millennial views might create friction between him and his Gen Z subordinates. For example, the Browns’ fifth-rounder, Shedeur Sanders, is quite popular on various social media platforms. 900,000 people follow the former Colorado quarterback on TikTok alone, and he has a few dance videos on the platform.

What Shedeur does in his free time is not a concern for Flacco. However, the Super Bowl winner has no interest in dabbling in that part of the world.

Unsurprisingly, TikTok is not the only application Flacco will ever download on his phone. He also has a negative view of the OG Twitter, which is now called X. Flacco shared an incident from the time when Twitter was in its infancy. He played for the Baltimore Ravens back then.

I walked into the cafeteria, and somebody was like, ‘Hey, you mind if we tweet this?’ Nobody knew what that meant.

Joe Flacco joked

He further highlighted that people should be cautious when surfing these media platforms, as the line between truth and forged news is diminishing day by day.

Joe Flacco’s concern is the Browns’ starting quarterback position instead of making TikTok videos

The Browns’ quarterback history is not pretty. More than 40 quarterbacks tried their luck as a starter in Cleveland, but none left a legacy that Browns fans can write a ballad about.

Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry approached the 2025 season differently. They brought back Flacco on a one-year contract and traded for Kenny Pickett, who was part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team last campaign. Furthermore, they drafted ex-UCF, Oklahoma, and Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

It became an interesting-looking quarterback room until Berry and Stefanski played the joker card. Sanders became their fourth quarterback addition from the draft. Moreover, fans should not forget that Deshaun Watson is still on the team.

Regardless, Flacco became the betting favorite to start in week one for the Browns, with Pickett as his backup and one of the rookies as the third choice while Watson completes his rehab. Reports from the camp suggest that Sanders is slowly gaining the upper hand over Gabriel for the third QB spot.

Flacco trusts his head coach and the entire coaching staff to make the right decision.

I don’t know what the plan is exactly, but I trust Kevin and that he has a plan for all us and that’s really all I can do.

Joe Flacco told the Associated Press

This is Flacco’s second stint in Cleveland. Stefanski called on the Pro Bowler in 2023 after Watson and the other QBs ended up in the hospital. Despite taking a handful of reps in training, Flacco led the Browns to a 4-1 finish and a spot in the playoffs for only the third time since 1999.

Unfortunately, the Houston Texans side, spearheaded by rookie CJ Stroud, dropped 45 points on the Browns in the wild-card round, ending their fairy tale journey.
