Shedeur Sanders silenced his naysayers after a memorable debut for the Cleveland Browns. He found one of them later in the day and asked the all-important question.
The Browns defeated the Carolina Panthers on Friday in the preseason opener. Sanders completed 60% of his passes and threw one touchdown.
After the game, Sanders and his crew caught up with Cleveland-based reporter and radio personality Tony Grossi. Sanders seemed to take issue with Grossi’s negative views toward him.
Footage from Well of Media revealed Sanders talking with Grossi in the tunnels of Bank of America Stadium.
Tony, I be hoping you have something positive to say about me. You only say negative stuff about me. And I’m like, ‘I ain’t do nothing to you. Come on, what I do? What’d I do to you, Tony?

Sanders did not finish the game. Kevin Stefanski introduced Tyler Huntley for the final few minutes of the fixture. Later in interviews, Sanders revealed that he could have performed a little better.
It’s just the small details that, of course, we practice on and we talk about. Towards the end, I’ll say we got a little sloppy, and we’re overall gonna finish it up, and that’s going to be a point of emphasis going into this next week. But, I was just thankful to share that moment with everybody.

Sanders always strives to be his best self, and even though he wasn’t satisfied with his performance, people close to him were. His father and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders tweeted,“Oh yeah what now!”

Former WNBA star and South Carolina Women’s Basketball head coach Dawn Staley reacted,
You can try to break a young fella’s spirit but you can’t touch his talent! Do the damn thing Shedeur!!!

Kevin Stefanski reacted to Shedeur Sanders’ debut
Fans wanted to see Shedeur start for the Browns ever since he was drafted. However, when Stefanski named the 23-year-old as the starter, a section of the football media criticized the decision.

Veteran ESPN contributor Stephen A. Smith claimed that the Browns were setting Sanders up to fail because the coaches never gave him the chance to practice with the first team.
Sanders proved everyone wrong and proved his coach correct. Of course, there’s a lot of work left in order to be part of the final 53-man roster.
There’s just a lot of football and that’s by design with him getting a ton of reps in this game, and he’ll get a ton of reps next week as well. That’s all part of our development of our young players.
Kevin Stefanski said
Kevin Stefanski was asked if Shedeur Sanders could receive first-team reps in practice next week, especially in light of Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel’s injuries.
