The Colorado Buffaloes were arguably the most hyped team in all of college football last season. The arrival of Deion Sanders as the head coach and his son Shedeur Sanders as the quarterback put the entire NCAA on notice. Prime has been known to turn struggling football programs around by bringing in a culture shift, which is exactly what fans expected him to do with the Buffaloes.
Last season may not have gone the way that fans had hoped for, but the hype around the Colorado Buffaloes is still not dead. As the team made valuable additions to its mediocre offensive line amongst other positions, quarterback Shedeur Sanders hopes to make his final season of college football the best one yet.

While talking to the media on Wednesday, Shedeur had a bold statement to make when he was asked if he felt that he had an obligation to perform on a different level considering his father is Deion Sanders.
I remember first media day when I was in HBCU, I said we won't lose a game, I'm undefeated in a SWAC so I already know what the expectation comes with. I know we're everybody's Super Bowl. So I'm really just always stay levelheaded and stay grounded because I just I would never want to be that guy, look back and not being able to take advantage of the moment that we have right now.Shedeur Sanders said
The quarterback is not lacking in confidence, and believes they are one of the biggest attractions of the NCAA right now.
The Colorado Buffaloes won just four games last season
But then again, to outright state that they are the biggest game on the NCAA calendar for all of their rivals after winning just four games last year, does more harm to his credibility than good. The team ended up placing at the bottom of the Pac-12 division last year. However, they started their year off with a remarkable winning streak.

The Buffaloes had hype surrounding them in the run-up to the season. In the first game, they played TCU in a closely fought game which they ended up winning 45-42. This just added fuel to the hype around the team and in the subsequent weeks, the Buffaloes went on to win the next two games against Nebraska and CO State.

Classy move for Colorado to let 8 teams get a Super Bowl win last year

In the 2022 season, Colorado won just one game the whole season. Last year was progress, but the real concern was when Coach Prime and co. went up against the best teams in college football.
They did not live up to the hype and on multiple occasions, it looked as though the moment was too big for the players. Shedeur Sanders had a great year last season as he threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and had a QBR of 63.1. He proved his versatility across the board as he fared well even when he had to run the ball. This year is expected be the Buffaloes’ best shot at making it to the playoffs.
