Shedeur Sanders refuses to dampen his confidence despite his plummeting draft stock. To describe how good he can be, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback recently claimed he is a mixture of two NFL greats, Tom Brady and Michael Vick.
It’s not a trade secret that Sanders loves to base his game around Brady’s and to some extent Aaron Rodgers. However, a quarterback can’t be successful by being one-dimensional.
In a recent interview with Complex Sports, Shedeur Sanders revealed that he has the accuracy of Brady and the sleek feat of Vick.
I'm able to stay in the pocket and want to deliver the ball each and every play like Brady, but be able to extend plays and if it's not there, take it like Vick.Shedeur Sanders said
Sanders’ audacious statement comes after draft experts put Georgia’s Carson Beck ahead of him as the potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, that’s not enough to faze the 22-year-old’s confidence. He firmly believes that the unique combination of pocket awareness and quick feet helps him to stand out from the rest of the competition.
It's a mixture of a lot of great QBs that all just have a different skill set so that's why I feel like I'm special in what I bring to the table.Shedeur Sanders said
Shedeur’s father and coach Deion Sanders has complete faith in his son’s abilities. He has backed the Buffaloes under center since day 1.

"I'll say it's a mixture. That's why I'm special what I bring to the table. I want to stay in the pocket like Tom, but sometimes those opportunities aren't there"

Shedeur Sanders’ NIL re-evaluated
Since the rule change, college athletes have been allowed to sign NIL and image deals with third parties. Besides being a fine quarterback, Sanders’ identity as the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders attracts a lot of attention.
The duo sent ripples throughout college football during the first year in Colorado. This change in power dynamic has forced CFB authorities to rethink their stand on NIL.
There’s no question that Sanders is a great talent, but the Buffaloes did not have a great 2023 season. There are tons of questions remaining to be answered, but one thing is for sure, Sanders has been doing very well for himself.
On3.com recently unveiled the value of Shedeur’s NIL, which stood at $4.6 million. In second place is LSU Tigers gymnast Olivia Dunne with $3.9 million and in third is Sanders’ teammate receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter with $2.7 million.
During his first year of Division 1 football, Sanders racked up 3230 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions with a completion percentage of 69.3. However, he was also the most sacked quarterback with 52.
