Shedeur Sanders pushed a referee and survived for another day. The Colorado quarterback’s frustration got the better of him as his team trailed by nine points in the third quarter to the Kansas Jayhawks.
Sanders experienced a rough outing at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The Jayhawks did not allow him to freely roam around in the pocket, dealing several hits on him.
The frustration boiled over around the five-minute mark when he shoved a referee after taking a sack. Sanders got up and walked right into the back of the nearest referee in anger. It did not take long for others to join in, but the officials quickly managed to cool the situation down.

The referee let Sanders off the hook by not showing him a flag, but if it were in the NFL, he would have been ejected without hesitation.
Jayhawks played a part in Shedeur Sanders shoving the referee
Sanders is used to taking a hit during a game, but even he has a tipping point for constantly experiencing possible cheap shots from Jayhawks players. It happened a couple of times on Saturday night.

While Sanders was going down during the sack, three Jayhawks defensive linemen trampled him with their heavy bodies. To make matters worse, a fourth Jayhawk, who wasn’t even part of the initial three-man sack quad, appeared out of nowhere and fell down on the Sanders, who tried his best to get up.
It ticked Sanders off and shoved the referee for not throwing a flag for roughing the passer.

Colorado lost their third game of the season
Even though the Jayhawks boasted a losing record before facing Deion Sanders’ 8-2 Colorado, the bookmakers were divided in picking a winner for this game. That’s because the Kansas team, which held a rank last year, was finally returning to form of late.
They defeated back-to-back ranked opponents, first the Iowa Cyclones, and then ended BYU’s unbeaten start to the season. Defeating the Buffs would put them in the mix for a rank before playing the last game of the season.
Shedeur Sanders tried his best to keep his team going, throwing 3 touchdown passes—a couple to Travis Hunter and one to Drelon Miller. However, it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

The Jayhawks ran the Buffs defense to the ground. Running back Devin Neal carved 37 carries through the Colorado line to record 207 yards, scored 3, and received one from quarterback Jalon Daniels to bag a 21-37 win.
