Over time, many quarterbacks have dropped hints about their debut teams ahead of their respective NFL Draft but not once, has someone hinted by naming the opponents. But Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend, appears to be creative in the best way possible!

Being one of the only two top quarterbacks of the 2025 Draft Class, the Colorado Buffaloes senior quarterback was invited for the Shrine Bowl activities at AT&T stadium. Although he did not participate, he graced the event with his presence and captured quite the attention with his unique style of answering, when asked about his potential draft destination.

Being in this stadium is definitely fun. I know I’ll play here very soon against the Cowboys.

Though Sanders’ answer was certainly not straightforward, it didn’t take fans long to comprehend who he was alluding to. According to the reports, the young quarterback has been interviewed for Teneessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and the New York Giants so far. The Titans and Browns are not scheduled to play the Dallas Cowboys next season, which Sanders was referring to.

This leaves the Giants, whose General Manager Joe Schoen recently praised Sanders for checking all the boxes. The Giants, holding the No. 3 pick, are seeking a potential franchise quarterback since they parted ways with Daniels Jones last year. The 2025 NFL Draft is still a couple of months away, making it premature to confirm any news; however, Sanders is certainly confident that this will be his destination.

Shedeur Sanders reflects on humility and team spirit ahead of Scouting Combine

Sanders is coming off an incredible season in college football, throwing for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and finishing as Heisman Trophy finalist. Despite the acclaim surrounding his on-field performance, he was also asked what aspects of his life people might not be aware of.

“I’m really a humble guy. I’m really a humble guy; I’m a team player,” Sanders said in his interview with reporter Jane Slater of NFL Network.

I just love football. I did everything I wanted to do and can do in life, just by how pops helped us grow up and everything. He instilled hard work in us… He made us work for everything, and now I’m just thankful to be out here grinding, playing each and every week, each and every day, doing something I love.

Shedeur Sanders added

After supporting his brother, Shilo, and other players at the Shrine Bowl on Thursday, Shedeur is now headed to the NFL Scouting Combine next month. He is expected to interview for more teams to demonstrate his prowess and ability to take on the role of franchise quarterback in the NFL.
