Shedeur Sanders Jokes About Honoring Tyler Huntley’s Request After Win Over Steelers Gives Ravens Hope
Shedeur Sanders and his Browns win over the Pittsburgh Steelers left the latter in a difficult situation heading into Week 18.

Heading into Week 17, Shedeur Sanders was aware that his career largely depended on how he performed against one of the best defenses in the league, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
They may not have been chart-topping of late, but they can still sniff out rookie mistakes as well as the best can. It is different when the 5th-round pick takes to the field when compared to someone who has a lot more experience.
Sanders led his teammates in front of their home fans, knowing their opponents were also on the edge. After the Baltimore Ravens’ win earlier in the day, the Steelers had to win this game if they were to keep their lead in the AFC North.
6:30 calling me. I’m like, ‘Dang, bro, why are you still up?’ He was excited they just got the win.
Shedeur Sanders revealed
This was the rookie QB’s response when reporters asked him if it was true that Ravens’ signal caller Tyler Huntley had called him to do a favor and win against the Steelers.

Huntley did mention after their impressive win over the Green Bay Packers that he was going to call Shedeur Sanders after the press conference, so that he could encourage the rookie to lead his team to a win.
The Browns ended up doing just that. Not only did their defense ensure that Aaron Rodgers and his offense did not score a touchdown, but Sanders and his unit did enough to seal the second win of his career.
Shedeur Sanders labels win over Steelers ‘bittersweet’
Shedeur Sanders appreciated Tyler Huntley’s words of encouragement before his game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he needed everything to go for him if the Browns were to get into a winning position.

It felt good getting the win… It’s bittersweet, cause I think our offense, we’ve got to do our part, I’ve got to do my part. We can’t be happy with only 13 points.
Shedeur Sanders told reporters
The 23-year-old was happy with the win but took accountability for his turnovers that could have ended up costing them the game. He wants to improve and help his offensive unit put up more points on the board, as those 13 against the Steelers will not be, generally, enough.

Shedeur Sanders threw two more interceptions against their opponents to bring his tally up to 10 in six-and-a-half games. Usually, such numbers would lead others to call out the QB, but it seems he did some good things, too, which has kept his critics quiet.
Kevin Stefanski hopes Shedeur Sanders learns from interceptions
Reporters at the Browns’ media facilities asked head coach Kevin Stefanski, who once did not seemingly want Shedeur Sanders to be his starting QB, about the two interceptions that could have cost them the game.
He got a win, so that’s great for the young man. He gets to beat Pittsburgh, a division rival. Wins in this division are never easy. Proud of him for that. There’s always things he can clean up. I thought we got unlucky with the first interception. We can certainly learn from the second one, he will.
Kevin Stefanski said
It seems the top coach did not want to overtly criticize his primary signal caller, as there were things that the Colorado Buffaloes star did well during the game.

However, his second interception could have been avoided. Even though Jerry Jeudy managed to get himself open, Sanders’ throw was late. Had the rookie gotten the ball out of his hands earlier, the Browns could have continued their march down the field.
As mentioned above, he admitted to his mistakes, which should be a good sign for Stefanski, who wants his top QB to learn and improve. Next week, they will face the Cincinnati Bengals, when the Texas native has to be at his electric best.
