This year, EA Sports’ College Football 25 is more hyped than Madden 25, the collegiate football game is making a resurgence after a decade. As fans look forward to getting their hands on the latest iteration of an iconic series, EA Sports has been going above and beyond in its efforts to promote it. One way to do it is by revealing the ratings of the top-ranked players at each position.

The highest-ranked quarterback in the game is none other than Shedeur Sanders, son of Deion Sanders and the face of the Colorado Buffaloes. He is rated 93 overall, but even though this is great news, there is another quarterback who shares the same rating as him. It is none other than the University of Georgia’s QB Carson Beck. Sanders and he are tied at 93 overall in the upcoming game.

That is still admirable, right? It is not every day that a collegiate player receives a generous rating of 93. Well, that is not quite how Shedeur Sanders sees it. In his most recent press conference, he made it crystal clear that he does not believe in ties.

I mean, I don't believe in it's a tie. I don't believe in ties when it comes to quarterbacks and when it comes to quarterback ratings. I don't believe in ties. It's either winner or loser like let's just get to the point.
Shedeur Sanders said

That right there is championship mentality, and it is not surprising to see Shedeur respond in this manner because he is one of the most confident quarterbacks in the NCAA at the moment.

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will be a cheat code to play with in College Football 25

The Colorado Buffaloes’ key players received generous ratings from EA Sports. While Sanders is a 93 overall, his go-to target, Travis Hunter, is a 95 overall wideout. The player who chooses this duo on offense will have an unfair edge over the competition. Deion Sanders’ other son, Shilo Sanders, who plays corner, is also a top-rated defensive back in the game and carries a rating of 84.

The Buffaloes may not have lived up to the expectations in the Pac-12 division last year, but in College Football 25, do not be surprised if they end up managing to win the National Championship. Shedeur Sanders had a phenomenal year as he threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. Despite his best efforts, his team could not do better than end the season with a 4-8 record for the season.

Carson Beck, the face of the Georgia Bulldogs, put up an impressive performance, one that could not be overlooked by the developers of the game. He threw for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions, and had a phenomenal QBR of 86.0. He led the Bulldogs to the top of the SEC East with a record of 13-1.

The hope for fans would be to see Beck and Sanders go up against one another. Unfortunately, the odds of that becoming a reality seem grim at this point.

As Shedeur Sanders heads into his final year of college football, he continues to do so as an underdog. He showed that he can throw the ball deep down the field when needed and use his legs when required. He took a lot of hits on the field last season, the reason for which was Colorado’s average O-line.

This season, Coach Prime has ensured to revamp the O-linemen to ensure his son does not get beat up every game. The only question that remains is will the star quarterback justify his 93 overall rating? If he plays anywhere like he did last season, then there would be no doubt about it.
