It seems Shedeur Sanders is already building an array of critics before he even stepped foot in the NFL. After lots of promises, when the senior quarterback failed to perform in week 2 of the college football season, he put the entire blame upon the offensive line rather than taking responsibility as a leader should.

The Colorado Buffaloes fell miserably before the Nebraska Cornhuskers in week 2, resulting in a 28-10 defeat. However, this loss didn’t make fans as angry as the post-game statement by quarterback Sanders did. Without giving it a thought, he openly criticized his team’s offense for failing to protect him, which ultimately compromised his performance.

Such words by the Buffaloes quarterback evidently portrayed his attitude of entitlement and immaturity per fans, given Coach Prime pulled him off the ground after he was sacked six times while completing only 60% of his passes.

I mean, how many times did [Dylan] Raiola get touched? Of course when you're able to run the ball consistently, that opens up the pass, you know? But it's just like, you've got to understand what your team's good at. Why would we keep running the ball when we get out there and there's a must-get situation and we don't get it?

The Senior quarterback also claimed that the offensive line didn’t protect him as they should have and because of this, he couldn’t make the plays. This loss against Nebraska placed Colorado at the bottom of Big 12 in rushing and averaging at 1.67 yards per carry.

Shedeur Sanders’ early exit due to head injury

There have been several instances from the game that made the headlines but one that sparked the hottest was Sanders’ leaving the football field before finishing the match and being replaced by his backup. Many anticipated it because of getting sacked six times, but Colorado’s head coach clarified that it was because of precautionary reasons as he was hit in the head during one of the plays.

We just wanted to make sure he gets checked out and we have every precaution. We wanted to make sure he's going to be okay, so we wanted to get him checked out."

This loss has also put Coach Prime under scrutiny as the 10 points were the second-lowest loss under his reign, which led to questions and concerns regarding his strategies and game plan for the team. Things got more stretched when he agreed with his son Shedeur regarding the mistake by the offensive line and claimed they needed to improve.
