Shedeur Sanders wants to be the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2025. The Tennessee Titans is the team that selects first, followed by the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and New England Patriots.

After forgoing working out at the NFL Combines earlier this year, Sanders showed off his skills as a ballplayer on Friday. The University of Colorado football team held their Pro Day festivities, where Sanders threw 58 completions from 63 attempts. Eyewitness accounts credited those drops as mistakes from the receivers.

Later Sanders announced that any struggling NFL team that wants to turn their franchise’s luck around must draft him over anyone else. The Titans are in the market for a quarterback, and a few of their brass were present during the Pro Day workouts.

However, the recent events may derail Sanders’ aspirations of becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. The Titans beat writer Jim Wyatt shared some concerning news on Saturday.

After yesterday’s Colorado Pro Day, the Titans brass met with Shedeur Sanders’ camp, and the parties have agreed to cancel the upcoming private workout.

This is definitely welcoming news for Cam Ward’s camp. The Titans love the Miami QB but were in a dilemma for some time on whether to go with Sanders instead.

Who should the Titans pick as their next quarterback?

With the Titans more or less ending their pursuit of Sanders, Ward becomes the favorite to become the next QB in the music city. This creates a great opportunity for the Browns to select Sanders at No. 2.

However, the Ringer’s draft specialist Todd McShay projected Hunter as the next man off the board after Ward. This leaves Sanders dropping down into the laps of the Giants at No. 3. The Giants are a team that loves the former Jackson State QB.

This doesn’t guarantee anything. The Giants signed two quarterbacks in the summer and could easily bypass drafting a rookie to select a skill player or a pass rusher.

I’m starting to hear more and more about Hunter to Cleveland at No. 2. That would mean Abdul Carter vs. Shedeur for the Giants at No. 3.

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler also chimed in with his take on the latest development. Brugler retweeted Wyatt’s tweet with a six-word conclusion. “Translation: Cam Ward is a Titan.”

Why did the Titans cancel the private workout session with Shedeur Sanders?

Wyatt spoke with the Titans’ new general manager, Mike Borgonzi, who watched Sanders throw deep passes with relative ease and was impressed by the workout.

Shedeur [Sanders] threw the ball well, and we got to see him out there with Travis… It was good to see Shedeur go through the whole workout, and the two-minute drill after. It just confirms a lot of stuff you saw on tape – he can drive the deep ball, you saw that here today.

Mike Borgonzi said (H/T: Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans)

If anyone knows a thing or two about evaluating a quarterback’s talent and skill, it’s Borgonzi. He spent several years as the right-hand man of Kansas City Chiefs GM Brett Veach. Borgonzi was part of the contingent that drafted Texas Tech graduate Patrick Mahomes.

Regardless of how the draft plays out, Colorado head coach and NFL HOF Deion Sanders remains adamant that his son and Hunter are the top 2 picks. Shedeur claimed he can bring the attention to where he plays.

I could bring cameras and eyes anywhere I go… It don’t matter where I go.

Sanders was impeccable during his two years with the Buffaloes of Colorado. He threw for 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns and led the Buffs to their first bowl appearance in years.
