If anyone knows how to hold grudges, it’s Shedeur Sanders as he made sure his opposing quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi knows that he felt disrespected. And not only did he give him an earful for that, but also gestured that the CSU quarterback was under his radar.
The Colorado Buffaloes clinched an impressive feat in Week 3 after two previous weeks of hardship– especially against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. However, this time, it was the opponents who went a bit overconfident and trash-talked the Buffs, including Fowler-Nicolosi, who had said the Buffalos had a “rude awakening” following their 28-10 loss.
However, Sanders didn’t take it lightly, and moments after finishing the match, he slammed the Rams signal-caller by giving him a warning. Interestingly, that wasn’t the end of it. A video from the night is making waves on the internet where the Buffaloes’ senior quarterback refused to shake hands with Fowler-Nicolosi.
“You’re that same guy that was talking s*** on Instagram,” asked Sanders at the end of the game, to which Fowler-Nicolosi responded with, “Alright, keep talking.”
The Colorado State signal-caller walked away from the scene quickly as he wanted to avoid any kind of aggression with Sanders, neither verbal nor physical, or else things could have gotten escalated.
Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi’s viral mockery of Buffaloes backfires
The 2025 projected No. 1 overall pick was referring to an interview of Fowler-Nicolosi, which went viral on social media, where he mocked the Buffaloes’ online presence last week, following their humiliating loss against Nebraska.
He claimed that the reason why the Buffs lost in Week 2 was because they were overly confident about themselves and thought the game would be a “cakewalk.”
They came out with that attitude and thought it was going to be a cakewalk. They got a rude, rude awakening real quick. I think it goes to show the hype, the media train, all that only gets you so far. At the end of the day, you have to line up 11 guys against our 11 guys and we'll find out who wants it more. We'll see how far Instagram followers gets them.Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi said via CBS News Colorado
However, after his team’s loss to the Buffaloes, Fowler-Nicolosi’s credibility has come under scrutiny. Meanwhile, Sanders stated that the victory was significant, as they not only secured a win but also got their sweet revenge for the disrespect both on and off the field.
