It is going to be a long time before college football gets a father-son duo like Deion Sanders and his son Shedeur. As Colorado’s star gears up to prepare for the NFL Draft, he played his final college football game in the Senior Bowl. The top prospect has had a busy week as he met with the representatives of the teams with the first picks.
Shedeur Sanders was asked about the highlight of the week, and he shared a hilarious story that expressed his father Deion Sanders‘ concern for him. Even though he’s done a great job as a Head Coach, Prime has done an even better job in being a father.

The story is heartwarming and hilarious at the same time. It is not surprising that Prime wanted to keep checking in because the team that drafts Shedeur will make or break his career.
Deion Sanders has been fully involved in Shedeur’s draft journey
Prime has been vocal about what team drafts Shedeur. He has gone as far as to say that he will intervene if the wrong team drafts him. Despite having a chance to coach him in the NFL, Deion Sanders is not willing to part ways with Colorado just yet. The father has coached his son and now, he is determined to ensure that Shedeur lands up on a team with a good Head Coach.
Shedeur Sanders had a series of meetings this week. He met with representatives of the Tennessee Titans, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Giants. The top teams in the draft are sold by his potential and believe he is the most pro-ready player at the position this year.
The quarterback is confident that he did well in the interviews. “I’m an open book so whatever questions they had for me, they asked, and I was just excited for the challenge…” he said with a smile across his face. It will be interesting to see if he remains a favorite for the first-overall pick as the draft nears.
