Shedeur Sanders surprised his pops, Deion Sanders, ahead of Colorado’s big game against Arizona on Saturday (November 1). He also stayed for the game at Folsom Field. However, the presence of the former fan favorite quarterback failed to improve Colorado’s performance on the field.
A video clip from Coach Prime’s office surfaced on X, a few hours before the all-important game against the Wildcats. Shedeur entered through the doors and tightly hugged his dad, who jokingly asked him to suit up for the Buffaloes.
The footage may not be as long as some of the other encounters between the two, but it definitely provided a small glimpse of Prime’s bond with his son.

Sanders later rallied the team from the Buffaloes’ dugout, the same way he used to back in the day. The announcers tried their best to avoid comparing Shedeur’s era with the current Colorado squad, but it came up here and there.
Let’s not forget, Colorado retired his jersey to honor the magical plays he made for two years at Boulder Country. The Buffaloes could have used that Shedeur magic against Arizona because the offense looked stale and the defense performed like a headless chicken.
Arizona handed Colorado its second straight blowout loss in front of Shedeur Sanders’ eyes
Colorado hasn’t been the same since Sanders and Travis Hunter left the team to play in the NFL. Prime was 2-3 before pulling off a shock defeat over ranked Iowa State in week 7. At that time, the victory appeared as a sign of things to come, creating a false sense of security.

The following week, Colorado suffered a 53-7 defeat at the hands of Utah. Prime made NSFW remarks about the loss, but promised a strong comeback against Arizona Wildcats. With Shedeur on the sidelines, the Buffaloes needed to give their best.
So how did it pan out? The Colorado Buffaloes scored an extra touchdown compared to last week. However, the Prime’s Buffs went down 52-17 at the hands of the Wildcats.
Prime went through his quarterback carousel with even the little-known fourth choice, Dominiq Ponder, seeing game time as well. Starter Kaidon Salter had 11 completions from 15 attempts for 49 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. True freshman Julian Lewis threw 9 completions from 17 for 121 yards, 1 touchdown, and nearly had one interception to his name until it was negated due to defensive holding.
Yet, neither of them came close to the horror show veteran Ryan Staub produced. He has thrown a few wayward passes in the past, but 2 interceptions from two pass attempts is unacceptable at any level, let alone for a Big 12 college football program.
Shedeur Sanders went through all the emotions on the sidelines. The Buffs weren’t world beaters during his playing days, but the team still had the mentality to fight for every point. Unfortunately, the current team is devoid of it.
Colorado is now 3-6, and it is safe to assume there won’t be a bowl game at the end of the campaign.
Sanders has to return to Cleveland empty-handed. Honestly, the situation at Browns may be worse than that in Colorado. Joe Flacco now plays with the Cincinnati Bengals, and the team has won just once with Dillon Gabriel as the starter. Moreover, head coach Kevin Stefanski does his very best to avoid questions about Sanders and when he will debut for the team, or if he will even see the field in 2025.
The Browns are on a much-needed bye this week. In the ensuing week, they will face the New York Jets after following the bye week, a team that has won a game after eight tries.
