Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders has his brother-in-arms, Travis Hunter, as the first overall pick in the coming NFL Draft. Sanders isn’t even hesitant to admit the fact to his key opponent, Cam Ward in the upcoming quarterback class.

The Buffaloes and Miami Hurricanes didn’t have that confetti celebration, nor any place in the final twelve teams in the College Football Playoffs. As Ohio State finishes the season as champions, attention now turns toward the National Football League Draft 2025. The NFL Draft 2025 is close approaching, hosted at the Lambeau Field and its adjacent Titletown District in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on April 24–26, 2025.

The key question is who would the Tennessee Titans pick? Will the Titans go for a new quarterback as a backup or even start in for Will Levis? Or will they move ahead with the Heisman winner? The Titans have already confirmed that they won’t pass on the generational talent, but who is that talent?

Shedeur Sanders, who played with Hunter in Colorado under Deion ‘Prime’ Sanders and Cam Ward had words and opinions on the so-called generational talent. In the same video, Sanders and Ward claim that they are the generational talent while Sanders admitted that he thinks Travis Hunter will go first in the upcoming draft.

I’m generational. So, I guess it’s article versus article,” Sanders argued. “I like that you think that. But we all know the truth,” Ward responded.

What? That Trav (Travis Hunter) gonna be first.

Mel Kiper Jr., however, has Cam Ward as first overall in his recent mock drafts

In a bold prediction, draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. projected Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward as the No. 1 overall pick, heading to the Tennessee Titans. Ward started at FCS Incarnate Word, where he initially showcased his talents and later made a name for himself at Washington State. In his time in Miami, he has shown great promise to be that generational talent Titans GM Mike Borgonzi was talking about.

This season, Ward completed a career-high 67.2% of his passes, amassing 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. His impressive performance earned him a fourth-place finish in Heisman Trophy voting.

Kiper also forecasted Colorado’s dynamic Travis Hunter—known for his exceptional abilities as both a wide receiver and cornerback—to go No. 2 overall to the Cleveland Browns. Rounding out the top three, Kiper predicted Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders would land with the New York Giants.

The Cleveland Browns are in dire need of a franchise quarterback, therefore, Kiper’s choice does raise an eyebrow. Hunter, being the Heisman winner could be a solid addition in case if manage to bring in a QB through free agency. Similarly, Malik Nabers and Shedeur Sanders?

Sanders and Ward are currently the only quarterbacks in the Top Ten of Mel Kiper Jr’s draft as concerns regarding the current quarterback class are predominant. As the clock ticks down to draft day, anticipation is reaching a fever pitch. Fans everywhere are anxiously awaiting the announcement of the first overall pick and the potential game-changer who could take their team to the next level.
