When Shedeur Sanders entered the league, he had many fans as well as detractors who were not happy with the hype or his elitist and wealthy background.
That led to incessant trolling, pointing out his flaws, and even questioning his readiness. One of those trolls turned ugly when he was prank-called during the draft.
Even after he made it to the Browns, those trolls did not stop. Most were taking shots at him for being put in his place for trying to show his elite lifestyle.
Then, when he made his debut, which admittedly was disappointing, those same trolls came back to throw all kinds of comments in his direction, even some people who were associated with the league.
Finally, in his 1st start, when he led the Browns to a win, those trolls did not come up with anything much, other than some who tried to single out his supposed ‘egotistical’ response to questions.
In the midst of these attempts to shred his character, President Donald Trump came out to support and congratulate Shedeur Sanders for his 1st win.
He’s definitely been a supporter for a minute, so I’m just thankful for him even taking time out of his day to be able to speak out his support.

The 23-year-old was beaming when he replied to that question about the President, seemingly happy that the most powerful man in the world had effectively helped to shut down those trolls.
Shedeur Sanders’ teammate praises rookie’s energy
During and after their Week 12 win, fans and the media noticed the energy on the sidelines and in the locker room. It was different, and that led reporters to ask safety Grant Delpit about the locker room vibes.

Shedeur’s got a crazy fan base. He’s got the stardom, everything. He’s popping it right now. I tell him to keep popping it, keep doing what he’s doing, and we’ve got you on defense… Keep running the energy, man, cause we need it.
Grant Delpit replied
It seems the team’s mood has been lifted, as the standout defense has a quarterback who can make plays and help them win. Their frustrations throughout this season were evident, and Sanders leading them to a win helped bring back the joy of winning.

Delpit added that he and his defensive teammates will try and get the ball back for Shedeur Sanders to exploit. If he makes the most of his chances against the San Francisco 49ers, he would be only the 2nd rookie ever to win his first 2 games.
Shedeur Sanders not comfortable with 1st win
Ahead of their game against the San Francisco 49ers, Shedeur Sanders is preparing for his first start at home. When asked if he became comfortable winning the Week 12 game, he replied:
I’m definitely not comfortable, though, so that’s first and foremost that I have another opportunity to go out there. But in life, you got to understand how quickly things come or how long it comes, it could be taken at any point in time. I always want to exceed expectations, and I always want to grow in each and every week
Shedeur Sanders replied
The rookie does not seem to want to ease off after getting his first win. His answer indicates that he is aware that a bad performance could snatch his chance of continuing as the Browns’ quarterback.

This mindset could be the difference between him keeping his job as the starter or handing it back to his teammate Dillon Gabriel, who is out of concussion protocol and ready to take over.
