Sherrone Moore was under severe pressure before facing the #8-ranked Indiana Hoosiers as the Michigan Wolverines lost back-to-back games. However, the Michigan head coach caught strays from their biggest foes across the country at Ohio State.
The Buckeyes football band and cheerleading squad is notorious for gameday banter. Even though these two teams will not play each other until the last day of the season, the Buckeyes pulled one of the greatest pranks in recent college football memory.
While Michigan played Indiana, the Buckeyes welcomed Purdue to Ohio Stadium in Columbus. They quickly gained a 21-point lead at halftime. To keep the fans entertained during the break, the student’s band and cheerleading squad devised a hilarious display.
By forming a human chain, the students created a giant bear-like figure in the middle of the field. Then gently moved around the formation to make the bear tilt on one side, and a few students displayed a Michigan flag right under its buttocks, and above the flag, they placed the smiling defecation emoji flag to taunt the Wolverines.

This gesture also mocked Purdue in a roundabout way. It showed that the Buckeyes did not consider 1-8 Boilermakers as a strong opponent.
Ohio State eventually bagged a comfortable 0-45 win and moved to third in the Big 10 conference behind the Oregon Ducks at second and Indiana at first because the Hoosiers defeated Sherrone Moore’s Michigan 15-20.
Sherrone Moore’s bad clock management lost Michigan the game against Indiana
The Wolverines trailed the Hoosiers by five points with just under two minutes left until the final whistle, and Moore had all three timeouts left in his hand. After Indiana gained eight yards near Michigan’s territory, Moore should have burned one of the timeouts, but he did not.
As a result, precious moments ticked away, leaving just 28 seconds on the clock before eventually signaling the officials to stop the clock. Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke made the smart decision to take the first down and eat away more time. Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson, who covered the game, seemed dumbfounded by Moore’s decisions.
"Three time-outs, when are you gonna use 'em?"

"That cost them almost 30 seconds to decide on that play."
"That's like gold. That's just precious gold ticking away."

After the game, reporters asked Moore about not taking the timeout when he had the chance.
Why did Michigan wait to call a timeout late in the fourth quarter after Indiana’s 8-yard run?

Sherrone Moore explains:
“Just talking about conversations of what the play call was gonna be, what we were gonna do.” pic.twitter.com/d8p8YMrKNx
It definitely played a big part in Michigan’s loss, and now they are 5-5 with two games remaining. Next week the Wolverines will welcome North Western to the Big House before traveling to Columbus to play Ohio State.
