(Video) Shilo Sanders falls prey to Kansas State RB’s brilliance as he gets his ankles snatched
Shilo Sanders, brother of Colorado quarterback Shedeur and son of head coach Deion Sanders, returned to football after missing a few games due to injury but almost picked another when Kansas State's running back juked him hard.

Shilo Sanders’ first game since week 2 was bad. The Colorado Buffaloes’ safety found it too much to handle the pacey offense of the #8 ranked Kansas State Wildcats.
Deep in the third quarter, Kansas State’s running back DJ Giddens had 150 rushing yards in just over an hour of football and looked hungry for more. Giddens received a pass from quarterback Avery Johnson and made a couple of players from the Buffs’ defensive line miss before coming face-to-face with Shilo Sanders.
Sanders looked to have the route covered until Giddens juked him hard. The young rusher cut outside and took off, leaving the Sanders eating his dust.

The cameras showed a close-quarter replay in which the 24-year-old almost lost his footing and nearly hurt his ankle while hitting the deck. Sanders came off for a couple of plays before returning back to the game.
Shilo, of course, broke his forearm during the Buffs’ first loss of the season against Nebraska. As last week was their bye, he found additional time to recover to make it back for the Kansas State game.
Shilo Sanders’ brother sets a Colorado record
Although Shilo seemed rusty due to lack of game time, his brother and quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, was far from it. Projected to be among the candidates for the #1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Sanders was on fire from the start against their ranked opponents.
Despite trailing by 10 points at the end of the third, Sanders completed a Colorado record of 16 consecutive pass completions. As a result, the Buffs equalized and then took the lead when Shedeur found LaJohntay Wester for an 11-yard touchdown, with just under three minutes until the final whistler.

The game was not over. Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson launched the best pass of his night to find Jayce Brown for a 50-yard touchdown to secure a hard-fought 31-28 win.
Shedeur Sanders finished the game with 34 of 40 passes for 388 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Sanders, after 6 games, has 2018 passing yards, 17 TDs, and 4 INTs. Up next, they will travel to Arizona to play the Wildcats.
