In the 2024 season, Ohtani founded the 50-50 club by becoming the first player to hit 50 home runs and have 50 stolen bases. He wrapped the regular season with 54 home runs and 58 stolen bases.

During the postseason, he hit three more home runs. Following the World Series win, he was named a Silver Slugger, Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter of the Year, and National League Hank Aaron Award winner. He later went on to claim his third unanimous MVP crown.

Ohtani is now gearing up for a return to the baseball mound. After getting injured in August 2023, he underwent surgery on his shoulder. This kept him out from pitching last year.

A few days ago he was spotted pitching during the Spring Training. As per him and his coach Dave Roberts, he could throw his first pitch as a Dodger in May this year.
