The back-and-forth between players is one of the most enticing aspects for sports fanatics. Towards the beginning of this season, Klay Thompson asked to be traded out of GSW and landed in Dallas. In his first game back at Chase Center, his other Splash Brother, Stephen Curry, obliterated Captain Klay’s return by ending the night with a dagger from three and a “night night” celebration to rub some salt in the wounds.

However, since then, there’s been a sense of a brewing rivalry between the two franchises as they exchange taunts. Mavericks’ PJ Washington flexed on GSW after beating them in Wednesday’s 111-107 matchup. During the walk-off in the tunnel, Washington looked at the camera and did a “night night” celebration gesture to give Curry a taste of his own medicine.

This victory pose was popularized by none other than Chef Curry. However, today marked the second occasion when P.J. turned the tables on Curry and the rest of the Warriors’ squad. Last time, on December 16, P.J. Washington went viral for doing the “night night” during a timeout, cooking Curry with his own recipe. This now adds his name to a long list of soccer players to golfers who have mimicked Curry’s renowned “night-night”.

In that matchup, their former superstar Luka Doncic was the key. He ended the night with 45 points, sealing the deal for a massive 143-133 victory. However, since then, the Mavs’ GM has traded the Slovenian for the Lakers’ Anthony Davis, causing a stir on social media platforms.

The 25-year-old superstar made his debut with the Lakers on February 10 against the measly Utah Jazz. It was a great exhibition for the guard, who shared the court for the first time with his idol, LeBron James. PJ Washington, on the other hand, has been dealing with injuries that have caused him to miss the last six games.

Saquon Barkley did the trademark Stephen Curry celebration during the NFC title game

Saquon Barkley, affectionately monikered “Snake-quon” by his fans, went on to win Super Bowl LIX after toppling the Washington Commanders for the NFC title. During the conference finals, the RB ended the night with three trips to the touchdown and a “night night” celebration as he hammered the last nail in the Commanders’ coffin. Not only did they win, but his actions also led to Stephen Curry trending on Twitter.

Not only did the 27-year-old help the Philadelphia Eagles bag the Super Bowl by a wide margin, but he also had an amazing run since moving to Philly, setting the Eagles’ single-season rushing record. This season, Barkley ran over 2,000 yards on 345 attempts, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

During the Eagles’ 2024-25 campaign, the 27-year-old running back scored 13 touchdowns in the 19 games he participated in. These significant feats have definitely earned him the right to copy Stephen Curry’s moves.
