The WWE Superstar, Shotzi has been absent from WWE programming due to an ACL injury she suffered three months ago. The last match she wrestled was against the former NXT Women’s Champion, Lyra Valkyria, on the February 13 episode of NXT. Now, after almost 100 days, the former NXT tag team champion has provided an update on social media.
The 32-year-old star took to Instagram and shared a video clip of her preparing for stem cell therapy. She shared good news with the WWE Universe, stating that she was feeling happy and healthy. Shotzi was seen playing the ‘True Blood’ music, revealing that she was watching the series during her IV.
The last few months before her injury were special for her. Shotzi impressed everyone with her performance in the Women’s Survivor Series: War Games. When she wrestled in her wedding dress, the 32-year-old star got the WWE Universe’s attention. However, during her match against Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Title, she tore her ACL and has been out since then.

WWE legend Mick Foley believed WWE could have done more with Shotzi
Although the 32-year-old star is a great performer and entertainer, she has yet to win any championships on the main roster. Moreover, when it felt like WWE was finally pushing her to be a main-event player, injuries halted her hot run. WWE legend Mick Foley also wasn’t satisfied with the company for not utilizing her fully.
On a recent episode of Foley is Pod, the 58-year-old legend expressed his frustration that WWE took the tank away from her. He felt that it made her character extremely unique and fun to watch. Moreover, he was also expecting her to win the Royal Rumble a few years ago.
I love Shotzi! I don't know why they took the tank away from her. Man, they could have done more with her. I was even hoping she would win the Rumble a couple of years ago.Mick Foley on Shotzi via Foley is Pod
Shotzi was supposed to participate in the Elimination Chamber qualifying match earlier this year in favor of Naomi. However, she got injured and was later replaced by Alba Fyre. Only time will tell when she will return to TV programming after this devastating injury.
