‘Shut up and dribble’ controversy takes center stage in Donald Trump vs. Kamala Harris election race
WNBA and NBA athletes come together to ask people to vote ahead of Presidential election battle between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Donald Trump is seemingly losing the support of NBA and WNBA stars as their support tilts towards Kamala Harris
With the country about to cast their vote on November 5th, the race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris is entering the final stage. Both candidates are working hard to campaign and pull those last-minute votes. Some sporting stars, such as A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier and others are trying to help in any way they can.
Many sporting stars have been openly advocating for people to vote. As it is known throughout the country that a portion of the eligible voting population still do not reach the booths. While some take to their own social media accounts to ask people to vote, some do it through their respective organizations.
Then there are collective brands that bring together a group of stars who pitch the same. Uninterrupted is an athlete empowerment brand created by NBA superstar LeBron James and his friend Maverick Carter. They have quite a few stars on their roster, some of whom came together to create a special video.

Those last words are ironic as LeBron James was asked to do that by FOX News host Laura Ingraham back in 2018. But now six years later, she herself has brought on athletes to publicly support Donald Trump’s campaign. The message from this video is almost a response to the need to be vocal about what one wants from the next President.
Basketball players are shutting the door on Donald Trump
With this video, it is becoming increasingly evident that basketball players are denouncing Donald Trump. Ever since Kamala Harris came to the fore of being the Democratic nominee, the once undecided basketball community has found their voice. Since then, players and coaches have been vocal about their support for the Vice President.
Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr led the line when publicly supporting Harris at the Democratic National Convention. WNBA players have often lined up for games wearing Harris-supporting T-Shirts. Prominent head coaches Gregg Popovich and Doc Rivers have also made their opinions clear.
With no games scheduled for the day of voting, these players will hope that their word spreads. Undecided voters could end up being the ones who swing the elections. Donald Trump vs Kamala Harris could be a nail-biting battle.
