Simone Biles will have to wait a bit longer to settle into her brand-new home in Houston, as she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, are making a detour to Indiana. That’s because on Saturday it was announced that Owens agreed to sign a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
Owen’s two-year contract ended when the new league calendar began. Since the Bears weren’t expected to keep the 30-year-old, Owens hit free agency and waited for his next shot.
On Saturday, March 14, the Indianapolis Colts announced that they had agreed to a one-year deal with Owens. Shortly after the announcement, Owens’ wife and multiple time Olympic gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles addressed the Colts fans on Instagram. “Indy, here we come,” Biles wrote.

Owens played in all 34 games for the Bears in his two-year spell in the Windy City. In fact, the last game he missed was during the 2021 season because of a broken wrist, back when he was still on the Houston Texans roster. The undrafted defensive back has made a total of 82 appearances in the league, racking up 295 combined total tackles, 10 pass deflections, 3 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 forced return.
The Colts made heads turn by keeping quarterback Daniel Jones, who signed a two-year deal and could earn up to $50 million/year. Wide receiver Alec Pierce also agreed to extend his stay in the AFC South. Pierce signed a four-year, $114 million contract with the Colts.

Whether it’s a coincidence or not, Owens found his new team on the same day Biles turned 29. She celebrated her special day by trying out different swimming outfits.

According to a report from TMZ, Biles’ photos looked like a “treasure trove of gold-medal-worthy thirst traps … and we collected them in one place to help celebrate her 29th birthday.”
Biles is arguably the greatest gymnast ever to take up the sport. Since 2013, the Columbus, Ohio native has won 32 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals.

Biles is currently on a break from her day job and enjoying married life with her NFL husband. Last month, the pair attended the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.

On one hand, they celebrated the USA hockey team’s gold medal victory, while on the other, Owens successfully thwarted a robber attempting to steal his shopping bag.
Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan, force of habit i had it tied around my hand so he couldn’t get it and took off running immediately….but still crazy

In the meantime, their dream project in Houston was taking shape. Per sources, Biles and Owens have built a lakefront mansion in Spring, Texas, which took nearly three years to complete. They plan to move in permanently after retirement.
For the next year, they need to find a new home in Indianapolis. They won’t have to move far from their previous home in Chicago, as it only takes a little over a couple of hours to reach Indianapolis. On that note, the Bears have mentioned the possibility of relocating to the state of Indiana in the future. Although the discussions are still in their early stages, all indications suggest that the Bears may remain in Chicago.
