Simone Biles pulled up at the Sports Illustrated Award ceremony at the Wynn Las Vegas on Tuesday, January 7. To accompany her was her date for the night, NFL athlete Jonathan Owens. The Olympic champion brought her charm with the stunning outfit on the red carpet as well.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens caught several eyes at the Sports Illustrated event in matching outfits. The former chose a sparkling beige mini dress with a minimalist beaded neckpiece and transparent heels. The chic attire was matched by the Bear’s safety in a tanned suit.

The couple were admirable as they posed for the cameras together, followed by Biles giving a solo. This was the first time at the event for the seven-time Olympic champion and the NFL star together.

Their appearance came after Simone Biles was announced the 2024 Sportsperson of the Year a couple of days ago. The champion then became the most decorated gymnast, popularly known as the GOAT, after her 2024 Paris Olympics campaign. Biles grabbed several wins at the Summer Games, with all of 11 medals. With her achievements in the World Championships, her impressive medal tally has reached 30, showcasing 23 gold, four silver, and three bronze.

After the spectacular season in 2024, the 27-year-old became the oldest gymnast in 75 years to win the all-around title at the Summer Games. In a video message, Biles expressed her excitement to receive the award. She felt elated to have inspired the younger generations and, furthermore, hoped for consistency.

Simone Biles’ career was not short of downs. With Jonathan Owens by her side, the American gymnast successfully navigated the challenges of the Tokyo Olympics and emerged stronger, shattering world records in Paris.

In her acceptance speech on Tuesday, Biles nodded to the Bears Safety in a special mention. She acknowledged him for sticking to her side amid the very rocky career she has had. Meanwhile, Owens was in the crowd, cheering her on with excitement.

The sports couple began dating in 2020 and got engaged two years later. After a year filled with joyful celebrations, Biles and Owens exchanged vows in 2023 during a courthouse ceremony in Houston, Texas. That was only the start of the festivities, as the two indulged in a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
