It wasn’t one of the most memorable outings for Pakistan in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup as they crashed out of the group stages after suffering defeats at the hands of USA and India. Despite being victorious against Canada and Ireland, with USA’s clash against Ireland washed away, Pakistan was ousted from the fray.

As per the latest reports by Geo Super News, Pakistan’s coach, Gary Kirsten was absolutely furious with his team, pointing out the lack of unity in the side while also questioning the physical fitness and shot selections of the individuals.

The report also stated that Kirsten will be on his way back to South Africa while six Pakistani cricketers including Babar Azam will be heading to UK to spend a vacation. As the report went, the six names who will be heading to the United Kingdom are Azam, Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and Azam Khan.

The initial plans for these players were to return to Pakistan alongside the rest of the team on Tuesday. However, there were last-minute alterations to the itinerary.

The players mentioned that they had made plans earlier and the purpose of this visit was to travel to London and spend some quality time with their friends and family. There were rumours too about the players participating in local leagues which would serve as a booster to their cricketing practice sessions.

The Pakistan fans weren’t happy with what they saw in the T20 World Cup. Pakistan got off to a shocking start after they were humbled by the hosts in a Super Over.

Then in the clash against their arch-rivals, India, they were in firm control of the game only to be defied by the Indian bowlers in the dying embers of a thriller. They did manage to batten up their hatches against Ireland and Canada but the ship from Group A bound for the Super Eight had already sailed by then.

At the moment, the tempers are still pretty much flared up in Pakistan and the latest reports emerging as cited by Geo Super News only aggravates matters for Babar Azam and company.
