The Philadelphia 76ers did not have a season that the franchise’s owners, fans, or players would want to remember. In the offseason, they had lofty goals after adding Paul George to the core of Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. Then they added rookie Jared McCain and a bunch of solid bench players to make a well-rounded squad, at least on paper.
While setting those goals, the franchise might not have factored in what health, or a lack of it, could do. They believed any minor injuries they might face could be overcome as the team was good enough to soldier through the regular season.
However, when multiple players suffer injuries at around the same time, it usually does not help matters. Embiid and George missed a lot of games collectively. That alone was enough to jeopardize their early-season form.
The only bright spot was Duke alum Jared McCain, who was scoring at an elite level while filling in for one of the starters. That run lasted until December, when the rookie suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee, effectively ending his season.
McCain was popular, not just for his scoring and jovial character. His TikToks were widely popular as fans believed he was a breath of fresh air. Then they noticed he paints his nails. Even though he did face a lot of heat for that, many supported him, especially former greats.

Now, the 21-year-old has taken that support to the next level by launching his own nail polish line. He collaborated with the Sally Hansen brand to release five shades sporting his name on them. The collection is available for purchase on Amazon.
Fans have jokes for Jared McCain’s nail polish line
Basketball fans watching this latest TikTok from the Philadelphia 76ers star could not believe a male basketball player was launching a nail polish line. They have in the past cracked jokes about him for not being manly enough.
Now, watching him release his own line has them in stitches. They believe he went this route as either he never got a shoe deal, or he needs something to keep pushing his TikTok’s. Either way, fans brought out the craftiest jokes possible, even though Jared McCain is trying to create an image differently. Check out some of those comments below.

Jared McCain might have an unconventional way of doing things. No one in the history of basketball ever had anything to do with nail polish in this manner. There are others who sport it, such as Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade.
Even though Wade proudly wears them, he never thought of launching his own line. But McCain has become the first basketball player, if not an athlete, playing in a major sports league to launch his own line.
Jared McCain crucial to Sixers’ future
The Philadelphia 76ers might be focused on winning a title with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George leading the line. But the health issues of those two veterans are again a major question mark heading into next season.

Even if they do stay healthy, George, in particular, is not a long-term option. Rather, the Sixers have to find ways to bring McCain into the mix as much as they possibly can. He and 24-year-old Tyrese Maxey are the future of this franchise.
If those two guards can become a solid scoring and defensive unit, the team can start to think about a competitive future after their veterans leave. The city of Philadelphia demands excellence. The Sixers have not been fulfilling for quite some time. Maybe it’s time that they give the nail polish guy the keys to the future.
