Skip Bayless has yet to forgive Micah Parsons for forcing a trade to the Green Bay Packers by declining to sign an extension with the Dallas Cowboys. Bayless was hard on Parsons because he was a first-round draft pick and came with the ‘generational’ tag. Still, he never took his criticism too far.
Everything changed once Parsons moved to Green Bay. Bayless did not let up even after Parsons suffered an ACL tear and underwent surgery. It made sense for a Cowboys fanatic. While the Cowboys ranked near the bottom of nearly every defensive metric despite the additions of Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams, the Packers thrived with Parsons as their leading pass rusher.
The Cowboys’ defensive coordinator, Matt Eberflus, admitted that they lacked a top pass rusher in the base of the defense.
Obviously, you have an All-Pro pass-rusher that wins really quickly, that’s certainly going to help any defense if it’s Micah [Parsons] or if it’s Myles [Garrett] or whoever it might be.
Parsons accumulated 12.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection in 14 starts. The Packers played like a playoff team before the ACL tear. He indirectly took a shot at the Cowboys’ misery with a tweet.
Y’all want me to feel bad? Jerry Jones slandered my name to the Cowboys media and the national media for months. So I do think I can react to comments if I want to!

Parsons isn’t one to forget easily. Cowboys owner/general manager, Jerry Jones, addressed the Penn State graduate as “Michael” instead of Micah in a press conference after the trade. Jones won’t admit defeat from his own mouth, but he lost the first bout between the two. The Packers are a playoff team, which can’t be said about the Dallas franchise.

Skip Bayless beefs with Micah Parsons
In the meantime, the Cowboys waived his good friend Trevon Diggs from the roster after he refused to comply with the coach’s orders. The Packers quickly claimed the All-Pro corner off waivers.

Dallas-based media stood by the decision and justified Jones’ actions by pointing to Diggs’ regressing stats. Parsons saw it as an effort to undermine Diggs’ identity as an elite athlete. Parsons tweeted:
I feel like what point is there in trying to publicly disrespect someone? He’s not representing the star anymore; just give the man a farewell and wish him the best. I don’t know why everything has to be negative every time a break-up happens! He’s in a better situation rn, trust me! Bro’s gonna be great again!

Bayless, perhaps, was waiting for such a moment to hit back at Parsons. Shortly after Parsons’ tweet began trending, the longtime sports analyst posted his thoughts on the matter.
Someone ask Micah Parsons why a Packers defense that was 6th in points allowed last year fell to 8th before he got hurt and allowed 40 points at Dallas, where the Cowboys scored 17 vs Arizona and the Chargers.

Once again, the Packers are still a playoff team, with or without Parsons. The Cowboys, on the other hand, failed to qualify for the second straight year. To make matters worse, they might lose George Pickens to free agency in 2026, who ranks third in the league with 1420 yards.
