With a heavy heart, Skip Bayless crowns Jalen Hurts’ Eagles “better” than Cowboys this season

With an awkward stance and a frustrated fan heart, Skip Bayless predicted that the Philadelphia Eagles would be the Super Bowl champions this year. A Dallas Cowboys fan for a long time, it seems Bayless has no hopes for success for the Cowboys in 2024.
The 72-year-old appreciated the game the Eagles played in a bad outfield at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday. In a slippery game, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-29 in the first-ever NFL game hosted in Brazil. In the last ten years, the Eagles have only lost Week 1 games twice, in 2015 and 2020, against the Atlanta Falcons and the Washington-based NFL franchise, respectively.
In an injury-ridden game, the Eagles performed superiorly. Jalen Hurts was 20-34 in passes for 278 yards with 2 touchdowns and interceptions each. Hurts even won hearts, after his show of affection and class towards the injured Jordan Love.
Skip Bayless acknowledged all these facts and concluded that the Eagles are a force to reckon with. He believes that the Eagles would be even more dangerous in a good field than they were in Brazil a day ago.
Jalen Hurts didn't play very well. He fumbled and stumbled around because he didn't trust his footing, couldn't run an option. Wait until they are on a fast field. See what happens with all the weapons he got at his fingertips. I'm gonna say it again. The Philadelphia Eagles are off to the races. They are going to go 18-2 and they are going to win the Super Bowl.Skip Bayless said in a video he posted on X

Apart from captioning the post as “Eagles>>>>>>>>Cowboys“, he noted that the Philadelphia-based team have developed on the offense and defense side. In terms of the Cowboys, he said they will have a losing record of 8-9 and eventually miss playoffs in the long run.
Amidst Jalen Hurts INTs and fumbles, Saquon Barkley stole the show
The Eagles QB, who had only one interception throughout the pre-season and camp, managed to throw in two against the Packers. They had a horrific start with Hurts turning the ball over twice, giving the opponent the initial momentum.
The ex-New York Giants player Saquon Barkley performed splendidly, leading the Eagles’ victory with 132 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns. The 27-year-old two-time Pro Bowler shined in his first game for the Eagles. The former Penn State player took on the Eagles’ offense after the initial disarray and quickly became the focal point of scoring. He started the scoring for the Eagles by catching Jalen Hurts’ 18-yard touchdown pass.
Barkley made some serious moves, showing skill and athleticism, receiving praise from LeBron James and many others. Barkley’s three TDs made him the second Eagles player to record three touchdowns on debut after Terrell Owens. Next, the Eagles will play the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 after the historic South American game.
